Not sure how Whedon could have possibly fixed that.
By not yelling at poor Cyborg like he was making Apocalypse Now instead of reshooting ZS Justice League. That seems to be the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Well, we did eventually get the Snyder cut, so there's that. Whedon was tasked with a nearly impossible job, to finish another director's work. What Zack was thinking and the means by which he intended to go about bringing it to the screen didn't sync well with how Joss saw things.
I've not seen the Snyder cut. I hear mixed things, so I can't say. Only that it's rare that a movie gets that many alterations and ends up being a solid work of art.

SFP posted about it but I’ll add Gunn had his GoTG stars stick their neck out for him for future projects. Whedon being a world class dick with no support did him in

The Snyder Cut fleshed out more pieces of the plot of the movie, but I don't feel like it did a better job of fleshing out the main characters.

I feel like I never got the full story on this. From what I recall, everyone was unhappy with the Cyborg actor and he was even throwing fits about saying "booyah," which would be expected by every fan introduced to the character in the Teen Titans shows.

"booyah"
I heard the actor deemed it somehow 'racial', and therefore didn't want to say it?
I've yet to hear this explained. There has to be more to this, yet that seemed to be one of his gripes.
And didn't the Snyder cut have a fuller backstory to Cyborg than what we saw in JL? I think fans appreciated the character more, from what I heard, but Joss felt there didn't need to be so much, and that may have contributed to the friction. I don't know.

Momoa came out in support of Fisher and said they were treated shitty and serious stuff happened on set. I know Gadot had her own issues with him too, but I don’t think she ever linked hers with Fisher’s complaints. We’ll probably never know the full story

Gadot, Miller or both had an issue’ with the one scene where The Flash ended up face planted in WW’s chest. Joss insisted they keep that scene in. As I heard it.
I thought it chuckle worthy.
Their problem might be overblown for other stuff, but c’mon. That was funny.

So incredibly wrong. Not just objectively, but factually. The added backstory to Cyborg and Flash was non-existent and made a dramatic difference opposed to Whedon's abortive effort. Also there was considerably more story added to Superman's resurrection and recovery time. I find the studio to carry most of the fault with the directive to deliver a film under 2 hrs -but Whedon's choices and scripting were incredibly bad and such a jolting departure from what came before it.
The Snyder cut was immeasurably better than Whedon's cut. Steppenwolf's treatment alone made an incredible difference. The tone and soundtrack adjustments made an astonishing difference as well. Whedon's Justice League was a deliberate effort to erase what Snyder had planned and it failed.
At least with the release of the Snyder Cut it gave a proper end to the Snyder Verse arc... even with Aquaman coming after Justice League but before the Synder Cut. Watching the 6 films in order at least we are left with something to enjoy- at least I do.

Gunn also prints money.
Unlikeable people can't piss off too many people if they're not producers.

I dint always agree with Kaiju but I totally disagree with these topics having to be dealt with in the crazy board. PT has some decent posts but it's impossible to discuss most topics there.
The pt is mostly unhinged.

Whedon does not have it anymore. Loved Buffy Angel and Firefly and Avengers but he is a world class a-hole that doesn’t have the talent to make up for it so he’s out of work.
I don’t feel pity.

Male feminist is code for date rapist
Every dude I have ever met or heard about that refers to themselves as a "male feminist" has, at best, turned out to be super scummy behind the scenes. . .hyper-abusive at worst.
Most of the most openly chauvinistic dudes tend to be far more respectful to women when bros aren't around. . .albeit a bit infantilizing.

Whedon does witty dialogue better than anyone short of maybe pre-woke Kevin Smith

You left out that he was seen as a “champion of women” before his fans found out he was a serial philanderer and mistreated his actresses. That’ll upgrade your #metoo sins from venial to mortal.
IIRC, his own (very feminist) wife led the torches and pitchforks to his front door, and reveled in his downfall. Considering how smug he was in his own self-proclaimed feminism, it was kind of amusing to watch him get eaten by his own crowd.
