I was referring to f’ing up movies because of the pressure to have women be in charge and awesome.
Disney destroyed Star Wars doing this.
I don’t want to see it happen with Top Gun.

Well women have been fighter pilots in combat for almost two decades. First female naval aviator graduated from Top Gun in 04. It’s not taboo, it’s reality.

Was just going to say the same. Hell, the woman intending to run against Mitch McConnell was an WSO and has flown in something like 80 missions, later flying as a pilot herself in a F/A-18 overseas. It’s changed a smidge since the first Top Gun.
On a side note, pretty sure I saw Jon Hamm in that trailer. In a uniform. God help me.

Trailer did look decent but why are they making this? Doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of story to tell here other than just pure fan service moments

Who cares, trailer was really impressive and the cast is surprisingly strong

Plus Claudio Miranda is involved and they bring back guy who directed tron and oblivion. This will clean up well in technical aspects during awards season.
