Quite strange watching everyone in here loudly root for the suits at Disney, Netflix, and Amazon

I'm so behind on HBOMax and Netflix it will take a very long strike to remotely affect me. Curb, Succession, Barry, The Last Of Us, His Dark Materials (last season), Game Of Thrones (only watched season 1), Beef, War Sailor (last episode), Night Agent, Witcher (last season), seems like i'm missing some Korean shows. I'm ready for this strike to last a loooong time.

You do realize they made movies and TV shows for decades before the modern crap started, right?

We were fricked out of some pretty good seasons of TV the last time this happened.

Since the majority of what I watch is not scripted TV shows...who fricking cares?

It’s funny how many here will suck the cocks of the studios to own the writers, not realizing it’s the studios responsible for all the shite they complain about

You mean 07/08? How far has scripted TV spiraled out of control that this shouldn't really affect it at all? I'm surprised these shows have writers anymore, not just an AI prompt.

I want them both to die in a fire...

Own your own media.
And YouTubers won’t be affected.

Unsurprisingly posters here seem to be blinded by their own biases to see the very real problem here. Studios treating their writers like shite, honestly surprised those working on VFX teams haven’t started a strike after all the crunch time they’ve endured

and Netflix Inc (NFLX.O
They will just throw more foreign shows and “reality” shows on the platform.
I don’t think this strike will have negative consequences like the last one. Someone mentioned last time there were 22 episode seasons and now there are 10 and that will be a big part of it. The other thing is that there is no set-in-stone return dates for shows anymore. Large productions can go a 1.5 to 2 years sometimes between seasons. I doubt regular consumers will even notice.

Yet you comment on the movie/tv board because the truth is you watch it…so there is that. If you didn’t watch television why would you even come here. So it will affect you too.
Hot take coming in cold!

I’m gonna miss the 5 or 6 that actually write original, interesting stuff.

I'm trying to think of a new show that I would care about disappearing.
Most of the stuff I stumble across and enjoy is 20 to 60 years old.

Y’all do realize what happened last time right? Prepare for even worse movies and TV all because apparently Netflix was the lone hold out
All I remember from last time is the first episode of The Office following the strike was the GOAT, Dinner Party episode.
