Per @TheNBACentral

Report: LeBron James willing to leave Lakers in order to play with Bronny "But he’s made it very clear that he wants to play with his son. If that situation is available outside L.A., he’ll pursue it.”

Does that line up with his contract ending?

What happens if the pels draft bronny?

Today's trade helps the Clippers stay ahead of the Lakers in the standings, but it also means that Portland will definitely not pass the Lakers.

I just looked it up. He is the class of 23. He isn't a top 25 guy in his class. He is rumored to go to Duke. He's not a phenom type player. He's only 6'2 right now. It's hard to see him being one and done or to the GLeague. But he'll have so much pressure, he'll have to do something fast. Especially with these dumb rumors happening.
It is a shame. With his money, he could go to a really nice school. Make tons of NIL money while playing 4 years, then try the NBA. Instead he'll be pressured to play with his dad and rush to the league..

If the Lakers are going to finish in the bottom ten of the final standings, we really need the Knicks to pass them up (as well as passing them ourselves). Tonight's game is a key test. LeBron is back in the lineup against the Knicks tonight.

I hate the Lakers as much as anyone, but if Lebron and AD are both playing most of their games going forward, they aren't finishing bottom 10.
Will require one of them to get injured again.

Well, we know for a fact AD is not playing the next 30 or so games straight.
And knee swelling isn’t something that just disappears.
And I know it’s only the 1st quarter, but the Knicks are pushing their shite in right now

When did RJ Barrett become an assassin?
Second time I've seen him hit a game winning or game tying 3 in the final seconds of a game, just in the last month.

Maybe he's got a growth spurt coming that's going to change things but right now he's a high 4 star recruit and that's probably including a notoriety bump. He does not have a one and done's profile right now.

As shitty as this season has been for the Lakers, it could be worse. They are 6-1 in OT games and have won roughly 10 games they had no business winning.

Absolutely this. Street Clothes gonna always live up to that reputation.

At this point, I think that it would have to be LeBron getting injured for at least half of the remaining games. Because the problem now is that there aren't many teams in position to pass the Lakers up. In the West, do you see the Spurs or Kings going on a big run? In the East, the Wizards are apparently sellers, and the Knicks are inept.
The Lakers are in the #13 slot now, and I expect Atlanta to pass them up, and a Pels team with Zion on it could pass them too, but we'd still need one more team, and I don't see who that is.

Getting CJ (and presumably Zion back) makes it very likely that we pass the Lakers. They currently have the 13th-worst record, but I also expect the Hawks to pass them up.
That would leave the Lakers in the #11 slot, where we'd only have a 7% chance of getting that pick (assuming that the Lakers lose in the play-in and do not make the actual playoffs).
So, we need another team to pass them up. Could the Kings do it, now? It seems that they are making this play with the idea of making the postseason. What kinds of moves are the Knicks going to make?
