After the comments Toni made about the Suns, I think the Suns want to bury the Lakers. They rested their main guys yesterday too.
Yeah, I hope they play them vs LA Tuesday, LeBron also isn’t likely to play in that game.

I think the sat with the full intention of them playing in the Lakers game and going all out to win that one.
Then they may be on restricted minutes or not play at all rest of year.

Lottery had to go our way but luck is on our side.
The Lakers having the 8th worst record in the league means that multiple teams would have to jump them in the lottery to push them to 11th or later.
According to the Wiki chart, the 8th worst record only has about a 0.4% chance of drafting 11th or worse.

I don't think LeBron wants to HAVE to play in their final game @ Denver to get in his 58 games to win scoring title. So, he'll play in 2 of the next 3. Doubt he'll play BtB games vs GS & OKC so he'll probably play vs Suns then sit out GS and throw up whatever kinda number he needs to in order take the scoring lead vs OKC. Denver game will just be a "just in case" game that LeBron will/won't play after both The Freek & Embiid have already played earlier in the day.
By the way, have any of you degenerate gamblers out there seen any betting odds lately, on LeBron winning the scoring title? Just curious, I can't seem to find it anywhere.

it’s probably off the board considering he has t get qualified and has played 2 games in 2 weeks

The Lakers need to win 6 straight games to get the 8 seed--
They've won 4 of their last 20 games.
4 of those would also be road games (5 really but the Clips kinda don't count). They've won 11 total road games all year
add in Ad and LeBron both playing on bum tires.
The Lakers are done

JMO: I think it's off the board because just about every sharp in the known universe understands what LeBron is doing & Vegas can't raise the # high enough on LeBron to scare them off a sure winner. Barring SERIOUS injury, of course, & I don't mean a suspect ankle. Smartest man I know told me a while back to load the wagon...on LeBron...winning the scoring title.

For the 8th lottery spot the number right now is 36. The Pels, Spurs, Knicks and Wizards need to get to that. Every game the Lakers lose gets that number to drop by 1.

Ya never know. If ANYBODY can win 6 straight...with only 4 games left...it's those wild & crazy Lakers !!! (Edit) Wait a sec...I think I see what he's saying.

Play-in game.
4 regular season games, beat the 9 seed, beat the loser of the 7-8 seed game.
That being said, I wouldn’t be surprised if the NBA just made shite up to get him in.

I worry about the refs helping the Lakers out. We have been lucky that LeBron has not been attacking in the 4th because he is gassed.
The refs would've started that earlier if that was the case. They've lost 6 straight.
Teams in the league with an active losing streak over 2 games:
Orlando(6 gms)
Houston(4 gms)
Indiana(7 gms)
Portland(7 gms)
Lakers(6 gms)
You are the company you keep.

After the Lakers pick wins the lottery, do we retire Westbrook's jersey number, or AD's? Kind of like putting up a banner with street clothes on it.

Lakers win maybe 1 more game. That's it. The team make up is a disaster of joy for pelicans fans moving forward.

In order for us to lose the pick they need to get the 8 seed which would require winning the playin. So 6 straight games essentially

Look at their people under contract for next year and the rights they have on their FAs.
Pelinka’s going to have ulcers fixing this mess.
7 guys under contract with $120m or so being tied up in LeBron, Davis, and Westbrook. None of those will give you great assets for a variety of reasons.
THT and Nunn are the only guys not on a minimum, making $10.2 and $5.2, respectively.
Stanley Johnson and Austin Reaves are on team options for the minimum.
The only Early Bird guy they have is Dudley, as all other guys are non-Bird or two-way guys.
If everything looked like a winner, they could get some cheap guys and spackle a roster together.
This does NOT look like a winner and I don’t see many non-Klutch clients taking a discount to play with LeBron in the final year of his contract there.

this is key...lebonk is a lame duck. and if he re-signs it will be 1 yr deal with a player option just to get him to his kid's draft year

Considering that LeBron has a history of bolting suddenly, anyone signing a long term deal with LA better get vastly overpaid for it.
