8-10 from the field, 2-4 from 3 tonight. Y’all so sure he’ll never be productive

Yup, and a perfect fit next to Trae which is what I was trying to tell people when we discussed a Trae for Herb/Ingram trade earlier this offseason.

I’ll probably get hate for this but I genuinely reckon Dyson will be a better player than herb will be . Higher ceiling . Dyson is what five years younger than herb ? I saw multiple games last year where dyson looked just as good and even better than herb defensively .

He also has broader arsenal of guard skills than herb . And so much younger . It’s a shame we let him go . Herb is better for the culture but

It's a reasonable take. They're pretty close defensively already. Had to give up value to get DJM though.

I said the same thing multiple times. I wanted to trade Ingram for Trae. We probably keep Dyson and the lakers pick in that scenario. Or at least one of the two.

We needed a PG and had to give up someone we like to get that PG.
it sucks we let Dyson go but I get it. I’ll still root for him like he’s a Pel. He’s such a perfect role player and his defensive IQ is off the charts

Be careful with this good take.

I got downvoted like 300 times the night of the trade when I said Dyson should have been untouchable lol. I think Trae is the perfect player for him to play beside though, I don’t know if he could be that good here because Zion gives him no space.

Making a layup was a challenge for him here

Funny enough, he hit a damn circus shot layup through contact last night. Hit the top of the backboard and spun down and in. He’s always had the skill set, he just needed the belief to play through it.

Looks like he was a starter had 15pts and 5 steals. Wish him well.

Every player that leaves the Pelican Organization goes on to do very well.
