I don't how much Jordan has left in his tank but we need to bring him back if they can't find an upgrade at the position.

Solid return game from Murray. He's rusty but he looks good considering all things.

I love it. Literally frick everything about the warriors outside of steph. Draymond jumping on DJs back like a bitch made it even better.

Bey is a Dude and was huge late. Murray was solid and Z looks good.
We play no D and can't shoot but screw it we won.

Pels look decent and this is without Trey. There is a smidgeon of hope for this group but they are all gonna have to be healthy for it to ever manifest.

This has been an underrated aspect of recent success. Moving to the bench has really helped Jeremiah.

Looks like the rebounding by the Pels' improved last night, especially with 21 offensive boards, and Zion was active on that aspect of the game.

Borrego played a 10 deep lineup last night and that’s without Trey, and that’s with Jose being traded away. If the rookies are having off nights or bad Poole shows up, we have the option to go to other players. If only this team had like 5 more wins so they had a fighting shot at the 10 seed. I don’t see any way they come back from 11 GB on the Clippers.
Forgot about Missi as well. Hopefully we can build some momentum for next year.

I really just want to see them get up to 8th worst record.. Some spot where the draft picks are foreign big men or one-dimensional guards

Then I wont feel so bad about the draft.

I say kill two birds with one stone. Play the vets (Poole, Murray, Herb, and Zion) enough to push the pick up to about 8ish and push up their trade value. Then we can start the rebuild with maybe Fears, Trey, Bey, Missi, and Queen as the starters with a first round pick, Peavy, McGowens, and Karlo off the bench. I’d take my lumps with that roster.

I doubt they do that tho!

Z also had 2 steals and a block. Proves he's just lazy most of the time. 5+ boards and a steal/block should be the norm for his size and athletic ability.

Sorry, while the young man seems likable, Queen ain't 'it' and isn't athletic enough to ever be 'it'. Basketball is a 96' game and this imperative requirement to play on 48' of the court simply isn't in his toolbox. He can't jump with 5's and lacks the quickness to play in space against 4's or 3's.

If he is a cornerstone in the team's future, this franchise is in deep trouble. If you can't build around a uber-athletic short guy for his position (see # 1), you'd be crazy to believe you can build around an under-sized, unathletic guy at, perhaps, the most critical position defensively on any team.

I go back and forth on Queen. He’s talented, but he’ll have a couple stretches per game where he looks awful. Lazy passes, not boxing out, just standing around, dumb decisions with the ball, etc. Body language looks bad too. I know DJ is coaching him up but it’s like he forgets that he’s playing against other guys at times.

He had a good stretch in the 2nd half last night. He will be fine.

He is a rookie. Rookies have bad stretches. Somehow everyone has it in their head that if a rookie (or a freshmen at the college level) isn't fully refined right out of the gate, he is a bust. Not how it goes.

Damn, people are really down on Queen. He has played 58 career games. Give the young man a chance. He will get better and stronger.

Bunch of chicken littles. The same people who were giving up on Fears after he cooled off. The rooks are going to be great.

Playing strong defense as a young rookie big is really hard. There's so many different actions they have to account for as the last line of defense and people sometimes people think confusion and processing is laziness and poor motor. It's rare for a big to come into the league and hold their own in year 1. Queen isn't the exception.

I'm not saying Queen will ever be an elite defender or even an anchor, but there's many examples of bigs who develop into competent defenders with age and experience. I've seen enough flashes of this from Queen this season to believe he can be competent with consistency and time.

Will he? The reason he was such a polarizing player in the draft was that there was a lot of concern about his work ethic and his interviews. We have to hope he has the drive to get better as he appears lazy and disinterested a lot. Players frustrate him and get into his head way too quickly as well.
