The Pels should find a way to get Jabari Parker. The bucks got him on the market and he's only making 5 MIL. Coming off 2 knee surgeries he shouldn't be that hard to get. Before his second acl he was averaging 20 ppg. I know the 2 acl's are normally a no go, but he's only 22. Watching him this post season, he didn't have any physical limitations or looked to be favoring the knee. He's has a complete game on offense and is OK on defense. In the case of the pels, I don't think they necessarily need another 3 and d guy. They need somebody who can consistently score between 15 and 20 a game. Jabari has that ability.

The knock on Jabari is he doesn't work hard and is fat. Not sure the guys in Milwaukee could really get him to change his ways, but you'd think if he came here, Rondo/Cousins/AD would whip him into shape. If he sucked it up here, he'd have a hard time making good money going forward, where as he does well here, and proves he isnt' a lazy fat frick, he can make nice coin going forward.

I have no idea what he's going to get in FA.

Would it be possible to get Iggy?

Idk how signing curry, Thompson, green, and Durant is going to work.

I know this won't go over well, but I have a sneaky suspicion that they may at least take a look at Ariza.

He's the perfect 3&D sf for any team.

The issue is he's openly said he'd take a look at going to gsw. If that's the case, along with iggy possibly retiring, it's bad for the league.

i'd rather have danny green than ariza.
depending on what happens with boogie, i bet green would decline his PO and sign a three year MLE.

even without cousins, pels would likely pay the tax and would be hard capped, but green would address glaring weaknesses and a one-two of green and hill at SF wouldnt be as catastrophic as moore/hill. plus moore could go back to super sub at the 2

You mean tax payer MLE. Cause with DMC cap hold Pels will be a tax team.

Green will have multiple offers for full MLE.
TBH Ariza too.

Sans Boogie it is possible.

Sorry

yes sans boogie
I’d rather a hard capped team at or close to the tax with an MLE answer at the wing than a no doubt tax team with cousins and just 3MM to find that wing

I’d love to see us go after a guy like Bazemore. He’s a solid scorer and defender who can play off the ball. I think he’d thrive playing with us.

He’s clearly using the Warriors as leverage to get a bigger contract from the Rockets.

Bazemore isn't that much better of a defender, and i'd rather Moore's offense, to justify having him on the roster. He can't guard SF's. He's an inch taller and 10 lbs heavier than Moore, and makes $9M more a year.
He's been a 35% 3 point shooter in Atlanta, but bumped up to 39% last year. he's not worth that contract.

We need to find guys that can be comparable to someone like him, but be on a rookie deal. hell i'd rather Bembry from Atlanta than Bazemore. Makes $15M less, and can actually play the 3, and shot improved tremendously in his 2nd year, although he did not play much, mostly due to some lingering issues he had all year. I certainly wouldn't take as much as getting Prince from them, but i'm not sure what it would cost to get him. Wouldn't want to give up a first and Ajinca for him, even though it saves us $3.5M. He was the 21st pick, so not sure a late 2nd like we have is something that could get him. Maybe we could give them our 2019 1st, but take their 2018 Houston 1st.

They don't have the kinds of assets you need for that kind of move in the offseason. However, if they think they will be able to keep Niko long term, I can see moving Diallo for a guy like Bembry.

I think the Pels will have to trade for a SF at some point because this FA class is garbage. My top 2 wing targets with all or part of the taxpayer MLE would be James Ennis or Joe Harris. I'd rather find a way to get Justin Holiday, but I think he'd cost too much to trade for this summer.

He's not a SF. I don't think we need more SG's.

I can't see how they don't trade Ajinca this offseason, and if they are going to do that, you might as well throw in a guy like Diallo and some kind of pick to get something back.
Atlanta and Brooklyn have no aspirations of winning next year. I'd almost lump Chicago into that, but it's a lot easier for them to turn it around and be a playoff team than the other two. Sacramento also doesn't care about winning next year. I doubt Temple opts out his contract, but he'd be a decent SF option.

I want a cheaper but competent replacement for Moore so we can include him in a trade.

I don't see how they do unless we get involved in a major player trade. There will be a cost to trading Ajinca now just to get his money off the books. There is almost no benefit to dumping him now unless it's done at the same time that you move Moore for a late 1st or other comparable rookie scale asset like you've talked about before.

I'd preemptively trade Moore for a late 1st if you can make that happen, then all you need is to tell Boogie's agent if they don't like the offer you have an Ajinca for a useful player trade lined up.

I'm on board with that.

How realistic is this Moore for a 1st trade idea? I like Moore, but i'd much much rather a 1st round pick than him, even if it is a late pick. I read the article on the possibility with Philly, but is that something they are actually seriously considering, or just a thought that popped into the head of a writer?
