Not sure why yall are worried about the rooks. Willie has always showed an outstanding ability to develop rookies and boost their confidence…

DQ is the polar opposite of Z. Queen is not lazy; he is skilled not athletic. Queen will have to develop a signature shot and a high BBIQ to be successful. It's impossible to judge him in SL.

SAS billed Fears as the next Kyrie. Fears best comparison maybe Rondo. I doubt Fears will develop a three point shot off the dribble because he plays fast. He will be more like TM, a shooter that needs to be squared and set.

Most of this board can’t stand mac. He left this board because he was so butthurt about no one agreeing with him

No, people agreed with him more often than not. He had inside info and intelligent takes.

He left because he was the very definition of arrogant a**hole and regularly insulted anyone who disagreed. Eventually, he decided to form his own "elite board" with only the finest posters. Everyone here was told that they were auditioning and that their posts would be judged to see if they were worthy.

The reason why people are more concerned about Queen than fears is because things like finishing at the rim and shooting can be developed.

In my lifetime as a pelicans fan, I feel like David West is the only guy that really developed his shooting and finishing in a meaningful way. I’m sure there are others,

Flagg entered the NBA as hyped as any American prospect since James, after a single year at Duke in which he earned consensus National Player of the Year honors. He had an uneven performance on Thursday, posting some nice highlights but going scoreless in the second half with 10 points on 5-of-21 shooting.

Flagg went 5-21 and had meh 1st SL game before dropping 31 in game two.

Holy overreaction Batman.

Okay Which game did Fears drop 31 in? Cooper is 8 inches taller, 10-12 inches longer than Fears and on his off nights, he's still a good defender.

Ridiculous comparison bro. You gonna compare Wemby's SL to D Queen's next?

Queen and Fears are good talents but both need physical development. They start, but can't finish what they want to do. I'm not sure they get that development here. The team went to Vegas and have played pickup ball, which doesn't bode well for the team changing direction. Poor physical conditioning along with inconsistent defensive and offensive effort have been the hallmarks of this team. Until the haphazardness changes, and get the main rotation players on board, I'm not putting this season on two rookies.

Both Queen and Fears are boom or bust picks with much more likelihood to bust. Their profiles are more like those that bust than hit and while both are young, their issues are concerning and tough to fix. It is the same thing that Dumars has done throughout his career. He hit on some vets and Prince as a draft pick, but outside of that was complete garbage as a GM. Can both hit? Sure, but extremely unlikely, especially with this leadership and coaching team.

People will downvote you but it’s very true. 7th was actually quite a bad spot it turns out in this draft. 1-6 have an obvious path to being a contributor. Small guards who can’t shoot or play defense are almost certainly going to be negative players. He has to improve his shooting and rim finishing. I like the pick because he has boom potential but bust is just as likely. Queen is another story though. His path to success is super narrow. Ball handling skilled bigs who aren’t athletic, can’t shoot or play defense. There’s basically two players with that profile who contribute to winning. One is Jokic but let’s not get crazy.

The point Moron, is that a bad SL game means very little.

Stfu.

Also Flagg went 5-21 with 10 points and Fears went 5-21 with 15 points.

Since we’re focused in meaningless shite.

I don't understand why he keeps creating new accounts and hiding. So many things about him are just bizarre.

You cannot prove that by his play thus far. He looks extremely lazy and a bit immature. He seems to pout and stand around when he does not get the ball. Not sure players "develop" a high BBIQ all of a sudden,

Yea there's definitely some laziness displayed on the floor. What we don't know yet is why. Until we do, it's hard to say if it's something that can be corrected or something they have to live with.

Queen has high BBIQ. That's not his issue. His reads and decisions are generally fine. I haven't seen anything in his game that screams lowiq.

Either way, Queen won't get on the floor unless he plays with more intensity on defense.

He's clearly mentally ill. He's a world class bullshitter. Smart guy. But full of it.

Our worst Fears with Dairy Queen are unfolding before our eyes. We may well have 2 busts and gave away the top pick in 26.

I think you might be retarded to earnestly be doubling down on comparing Fears SL to Cooper's, all while blatantly ignoring talent, size and the differences between their peak SL performances through 2 games.

Typical braindead homer shite on this board.

I'm rooting for him, but let's not be retards.

And again, if you want to go down this SL comp path, why not take it that extra step and comp Queen to Wemby at this point?

I get that SL performances can vary and may not better, but at least compare similar prospects. Comparing a can't miss dude in Flagg that's joining Kyrie and AD to a boom or bust in Fears (when we don't have Kyrie or AD to lean on), is insane.

We need him to be good and we can't pretend that he's been good in these first 2 games. Corey Brewer literally said the guy is trying to learn how when to pass and/or take a paint shot.

That shite is an innate ability. It's worrisome.
