Josh Adams ran for 1400+ yards at ND. Kyren Williams “only” ran for 1100. Tough to put much stock into that at face value

Yards from scrimmage

Love - 226 touches, 1652 yards, 21 TDs
Estime - 227 touches, 1483 yards, 18 TDs
Love - 191 touches, 1362 yards, 19 TDs

Not even accounting for Love’s elite forced missed tackles and yards after contact. Love will measure pretty similar to Estime’s height/weight, the combine performance will tell you the vast difference in players

KC trading in front of us and taking Love is gonna hit like a shotgun to the chest for a lot of us

Nah man. Several great players will be there for us at 8 no matter what happens in front. We can't be moved from 8 unless its our move.

The roster has many holes, we will fill a need regardless. And if I had to bet I think they’d pass on Love if he were there

Not only is selecting a rb that high very questionable but trading away picks to move even higher is just flat out stupid. The chiefs aren’t a running back away and they are selecting in the top 10 for a reason. Their star players such as Kelce and Jones are near the end of their careers and the solution you think is for them to draft a rb? They need to hit on a lot of picks to remain relevant.

KC still want to compete. The Mahomes injury last year along with a weak running game was worrisome. Love can take a burden off Mahomes and give extra security for any smaller injuries. And for this example you are talking about jumping 1 spot for a 3rd/ 4th, they'd do it.

I've seen this coming for weeks. KC wouldn't have to give up much, and RB is a need. Only problem would be once RB is off the board, Saints and Commanders have similar needs. Washington may not want to let the Saints draft Bailey or Bain or Downs (whoever they covet) in front of them in exchange for just a 3rd round pick.

Its going to come down to NYG/ CLE at #5/#6.

The first 4 should be a group of:
1. Mendoza
2. Reese/ Bain/ Bailey
3. Maugioa/ Fano
4. Reese/Bain/ Bailey

We need another OL and WR to drop in front of us.

Giants at #5:
Tate/ Lemon/ Downs or any (2) of Mauigoa/ Fano/ Bain/ Bailey.

Browns at #6:
Tate/ Lemon/ Downs/ (1) of Mauigoa or Fano

Giants pick is a toss up but the Browns will have to take Mauigoa/ Fano if one is left IMO. Their OL struggled and they just lost their 2 best lineman.

I’ve seen Mauigoa following down draft boards to more mid-teen level. I think people are concerned with arm length and he might be more in the mold of a guard. Similar to Fuaga which makes sense, since he went 14th.

On First Draft yesterday they basically said there isn’t that perfect defensive lineman or OT this year. Either there is a question about measurables or production. No Joe Alt or anybody like that who checks every single box.

I’m hoping either Bailey, Tate, Downs, Delane or Fano drop to us.

frick that. If they can’t fix the interior during free agency then we got way bigger problems.

If KC wants Love that bad then let them do something dumb. We will be just fine . KC needs a lot more than a running back also.

This is a bit disappointing giving the capital invested in the tackles. Yes they’re young and can improve but you’d at least hope they were in the top half of these lists. We also know they’re left on an island a lot.

That said I would never rule out a tackle at 8. It could mean shuffling the deck a bit but we really need to establish the OL first and foremost

ETA : I’d def look to bring back both Radunz and Fortner.

Agreed but Mauigoa went from being mocked around 10-12 to top 3 the last couple weeks. Seems he may not be available if the league thinks the same

Speaking of mocks I have been seeing Bailey getting mocked #2 as often as Arvell Reese in the last 3-4 I’ve looked at. Damn I wish he’d fall to us.

Every time I hear this I want to fricking scream.

Both Fuaga and Banks played well down the stretch.

Everytime some says we can fix OL in FA it makes me want to scream!

You literally named two guys out of five. Two of the other guys were absolutely terrible! And our starting center is injury prone. And Fuaga did not play well last year.

You need to come to grips with the fact that there is no easy fix to this OL. If that’s a 1st round pick, or a 2nd round pick, or multiple later picks, this OL was disastrous and we are going to get our QB killed and have no running game if we trot out the same line with some FA OG as a band aid.

Surely you don’t think the OL is established?

Our rushing attack hasn’t been good in years. Fuaga has been mid and has not played like a top pick. Banks was solid considering his age and position. Guard play has been arse and McCoy can’t stay healthy.

that whole thing where the Saints played like arse in the first quarter throughout almost the whole season set up a lot of unfavorable game scripts.

Take the 49ers game for example.

They were in that game, Rattler threw 3 TD's but only had 207 yards on 34 attempts to show for it. Kamara almost got to 100 yards rushing with 99.

But that was also when the 49ers still had all their guys healthy on defense, I think. There at the end of the game Rattler had no chance and their ends met at the QB like maybe twice on that last Saints drive?

The Seattle game was a no contest and so was the Rams game. I guess the fact they had the 49ers and Cardinals at home they played them a lot closer but no Brock Purdy at QB in the game they played us. And Mac Jones also played really well, and I think that was well before the Saints defense settled in and started playing better.

I bring up the NFC West because I think it's fair to say that's who the rest of the conference is probably chasing.

The idea of picking another O-line guy in the Top 10 pisses me off tremendously. I'd almost rather try for at least one starter in free agency. I don't think it's just a Saints problem with O-line development. But since the Saints have used a lot of top picks on their line it's magnified.
