I think he fits more as a 4-3 DE than a stand up edge rusher. I don’t think he will maintain the athleticism and bend to be a stand up edge rusher.

Definitely has grown man strength though

He similar to cam, but in this defense we need true OLB/end that can rush and cover.

Reese Bailey, styles , josh Joseph fits the mold better

That wasn't a lineman. That was TE Riley Nowakowski who, according to a quick search, Bain outweighs by about 30 lbs.

The last pass rusher with short arms turned out pretty well he’s one of the highest paid at his position

Watch him club the lineman and then look at the closing speed lol

That is a great play but that was a tight end. Bain should abuse a tight end.

The closing speed is crazy. If Bain is there at 8 I'm taking him but I don't see him being available.

Ponds is just a football player. Thought this same thing every play he made.

IMO this guy will follow the Saints trend of falling in love with an athletic DE.

Hopefully the new Saints brass sees the need to get weapons for Shough early and fill the edge rusher role a little later in the draft .

Bain is a very good defensive player, but this is where I’m at. Need a guy that can do both well. Sadly the guy I wanted last year would have been a perfect fit, Jalon walker.

I’d still take Bain if the other two are off the board, b/c pass rushers are still gold in the nfl.

sorry chalky, i'll be more specific next time. There was a reason i didnt call him an OL, and just a lineman being that the TE was setup inline.

how about this one

Whoever run the Saints X account is tired of me telling them about Bain. This guy is a dude; with Cam tutelage he could be the next great in Nola.

I like that Sarratt kid,

You liked b2b drops in key Championship moments? I guess he's a good pickup for a 3rd but I'd rather a WR that's projected 1-2 rd.

Bain would look great in Black and Gold.

Bain at 6'3" 275 reminds me of Will Smith at 6'3" 282. He can set the edge, get up field (especially on the outside of an OT) and brings a physical presence to the DEF. He would immediately make our entire DL better. I would go best DE or best WR available in the 1st, whatever better player (AND locker room fit) is still on the board.
