At this point, I’d be happy with any of
Bain
Bailey
Downs
Tate

Think any of those 4 could help the team and would be a good value at 8.

When was that?

My limited observation was him not doing much in the games I watched during the season. I would just expect more production from a potential top 10 pick.

He had a four or five game stretch midseason where he didn’t put up much stats. I watched Florida State and a good part of Louisville and remember wondering what the hype was all about. Truthfully, it could’ve been scheme or mild injury. But these last two games seem like a different motor and desire compared to the others that I watched.

Faulk worries me. Having done no research, superficially he comes off as a "prototype" edge who hasn't produced. Cover his face and he looks just like Davenport or Foskey or Payton Turner - but those guys got sacks in college. Faulk had TWO sacks in 2025.

I would not insult him by saying davenport or bosky....But I agree....I realize I meant Bailey instead of Faulk but he was taken before our pick in this one....

Ty Simpspn has declared for the draft. Not sure that changes anything in the Top 8 but it could. If QB needy teams take 3 QBs now, we're really looking good.

Mickey will probably trade up for Tyson if Washington pretends he’s their pick

Agree. Give me the dude getting nitpicked by experts while blowing up offensive backfields. I remember when Terrell Suggs was too small and ran a bad 40. We took Johnathan Sullivan five picks before him.

I doubt downs will be available, and safety isnt a huge need but Downs is as close to a cant miss, franchise level talent that is available in this draft.

No doubt. Hell, jeanty didn't go that high last year, and he had much more hype as a prospect.

A lot of scouts believe Downs will fall because teams haven’t caught on that having two really good safeties when most of the league is now using two safety high looks is a massive advantage.

Look at Atlanta with Watts and Bates. They add such a dynamic, play making aspect to their backend to pair with their pass rush that it can compensate for A LOT.

Here's my way too early Mock/ projection

Raiders- Mendoza
Jets- Moore
Cardinals- Fano/ Mauigoa/ Ty Simpson
Titans- Reese/ Bain
Giants- Tate/ Reese/ Bain/ Downs
Browns- Mauigoa/ Tate/ Tyson/ Ty Simpson
Commanders- Bain/ Downs/ Bailey/ Faulk/ Tyson

3 of Downs/ Mauigoa/ Bain/ Delane/ Tyson will be available. I'd draft them in that order.

The WR talent available at #40 makes Tyson a tough choice at #8 when considering the talent gap compared to CB/ Edge/ S/ OL at #40. Throw in paying Olave and it makes the Tyson move a tough choice.
