He got this team to .500 last year when he started with no receivers and Dennis Allen as the coach. That’s quite a feat.

I woulda liked to see Carr with Sean Payton, but I knew he’d fail with Allen.

Going to a good situation like indy might change a lot of things.

Won’t happen because no team would be interested in this loser.

No Carr sympathizer.. but he did give us a massive break. he could’ve held us hostage for years to come but he did the right thing as a human and I respect him for that. So I wish him the best wherever he goes or ends up doing

This. I don’t like him or his brothers at all but he did do something a lot of guys wouldn’t have. The cynic in me thinks it was at least somewhat because he’s image conscious and it’s beneficial to his ministry career to bow out gracefully.

But at the end of the day he seemed to walk the walk and it was beneficial for us.

Wow….this thread did not go how I expected. I posted the original comment as good news that we may get unexpected draft compensation for a player that no Saints fan wants to see play for the Saints again.
Def didn’t expect it to be a convo about whether Carr is trash or whether he handled the injury well. That feels like ancient history and we are in a different world than we were a year ago.

Good I’ll enjoy watching him suck for whichever stupid team takes him.

You’re part of the problem these days. Not the solution. If a game makes you angry. I feel sorry for anyone in your household.

he is so full of shite - if someone offered enough money, he would go back to playing.

he injured himself and violated his contract and the saints would have taken him to arbitration and most likely would have won and he would have collected absolutely nothing

What did he do that violated his contract?

If there was a spot for Rivers this year, he will probably get a call if he stays in shape and wants to play. I don’t dislike him but I’m glad he’s not our QB

Curious how the news of his shoulder injury didn’t surface until April, months after the season. This is after there were rumors of trades and after they restructured his contract. Loomis and Moore both on record that Carr would be their QB

David Carr come out and said he hurt it in the Giants game, which we knew he got concussed and hurt his hand, ending his season.

Nothing adds up. If you tear the labrum in your shoulder, it doesn’t take 4 months to figure it out

His excuse was he didn’t start throwing until like March? if I recall correctly. That was bs
