Brother, I fly mostly blind on the cold stuff.

Where can we find pivotal maps that go to the rest of the southeastern states for Sunday through Tuesday?
Local weather girls (not women, girls who are excited for snow and ice) are more interested in a light rain this Wednesday.

Pivotal
Up above the map, where it says "Zoom". Click that and it will show you regions. Click on the blue dot for the region you want. Navigate the various products to the left of the map with the drop down menus.

I will take a foot of snow here if it means the freezing rain stays south (sorry folks). Do not want ice and freezing rain.

I'm trying to get home to the NOLA area before this starts - any idea of when the rain turns to ice/snow?

Is this a real ice storm or a government weather machine ice storm?

I'm taking my computer home Friday so I can work from home if it comes to that on Monday.

It won't be cold enough to turn to ice until about 6 AM to 8 AM sunday morning, but in Lafayette, it is only a 20 to 30 percent rain chance at that time.
of course, it could sleet from 2 AM to 6 AM Sunday morning.
The most rain should be Saturday Afternoon about 4 PM, but it will be in the 60's at that time.

It’s going to be interesting to see if the models can truly nail down the shallowness of the cold air across the Deep South. How shallow it is is the difference between snow, sleet, freezing rain and just a cold rain.

Snow is great, sleet is whatever… for the love of frick just none of that freezing rain shite that clings to the power lines.
