I met an actress in Van Nuys, CA. I was meeting a blind date and was sitting at the bar waiting. She was running late because she had a flat tire on the way.

This actress sat beside me, and I didn't know who she was. She smiled at me and asked me how I was doing. Super nice. I told her that I thought I was being stood up (which I was as it turns out). I never got the idea that this woman was available, and she was much younger than I. She bought me a drink as condolences to my failed date. We talked for about an hour. She left. Turns out the bartender knew who she was. Told me after she left.

It was Keisha Grey.

I also met Nicole Aniston in Temecula, CA on a wine tasting tour. This guy I rented a house from when I was a travel nurse had a wine tasting tour bus. Beautiful blond walked onto the bus. Sits down in front of me. After a couple stops on the tour, I was courageous enough to ask her what she did. She told me she was an actress. We talked a little. She was a little shy. She probably thought I was a fan boy, but I really didn't know her. This was like 2013-14. On the way back to the parking lot after the tour, she was a little drunk and told me she was in porn. I laughed because I thought she was joking. The guy that owned the tours told me he'd gone to school with her in Temecula High and confirmed she was in porn and owned a house close to his. She actually came over to his house for dinner a couple times, while I rented from him but I was usually at work. They smoked A LOT of Marijuana.

Met Huey Lewis in ‘85 at a San Francisco food bank benefit in Golden Gate Park. I was wearing an A’s cap and he came up to me told me about his friend Dave Kingman who was with Oakland at that time. Nice guy with a somewhat loud, booming voice.

It's so sad what has happened to Huey Lewis.

David Toms: I know DT fairly well. Very nice guy and obsessive LSU fan.

David Toms is forever hated in Dublin Ohio, gave some fan that heckled him for missing a short putt, three putted I think, the finger during Jack’s Memorial Golf Tournament at Muirfield in 2005.

Makes sense

Apparently she is much more heavily tattooed these days, unfortunately

Hadn’t heard of Nicole Anniston before though.

I’ll never forget that day…I know it probably doesn’t mean much to most people but I love motor racing, especially drag racing, and those two guys are fricking legends. RIP Bob.

I’m not as big into NHRA anymore, but that is pretty damn cool as you say. Any racing fan can appreciate that.

I vaguely remember meeting Don Garlits as a young kid — he was a dick…

I knew some older guys who was in Vegas once and found themselves in a bathroom with Rodney Dangerfield. They made small talk, said he didn't have an attitude like "I am someone famous". He was just a regular dude.

But I think its weird to want to go talk to celebs. They don't owe me anything, I don't owe them nothing.

If someone asked me to name 5 celebrities who I figured were assholes to the general public, I really might go with your three (Bonds, Sean Penn, Lars Ulrich), plus Chris Brown and Alec Baldwin, who were just mentioned in the last page.

Or maybe I’d stick with Chevy Chase and Shaun White.

I’ve never had a bad interaction with a celebrity (most were minimal, 30 seconds or less), but I had longer interactions with Johnny Dawkins and Jay Williams. Not mega celebrities by any means, but you could tell they weren’t egotistical people.

I think one person from high school would be considered a celebrity by this board, and I always got along very well with her, though it’s been a decade.

One thing I’ve noticed is if you ever see a C or D list celebrity in a bar, every time I’ve said “Hi ____” in a pleasant, casual tone, and you just say their first name, they will always think they met you previously and try to make up for not recognizing you

I met John Malkovic recently. He had a pretty lady with him that was around his age. She could have been his wife, girlfriend, or whatever. But she was lovely, and really friendly. She asked me all kinds of questions. John was sort of reserved, and serious, but not an a-hole by any means.

Air Supply-waited tables in school in Jackson, MS and had 4 dudes who looked like they were wearing Afro wigs sit at my table..nice enough and asked me where to meet young girls after they paid
Walter Payton-went to an autograph signing while working in Chicago, met him and told him I was from MS and my family had followed him since his Jackson State days. He told Jimbo Covert I looked like Fencic and we talked for a few minutes. Friend and I leave and as we pull up to a light a black tinted out Porsche screeches to a halt next to us. Window rolls down and Payton hands me a box of Cuban cigars through his window, great, funny guy.

Here is another good one, lol.

I was kinda seeing a B list actress. Went on a few dates, decent enough time. She just finished wrapping up an awful stfy movie that “starred”
Brian Krause.

Brian Krause was the dude in charmed. When deployed me and my buddies all shared the charmed box set and shite got real. We all had our girl. I legit saw a dude almost throw down for talking shite about the girl who played piper.

Shannon Dougherty was the one I picked because she’s bat shite crazy.

We are all at the wrap party at galatoires and I tell Brian this. He laughs his arse off and says he should call her and I’m stoked. Hell yeah! Call
Her. He pussies out for whatever reason but I devise a plan and start feeding this dude drinks.

I get him so hammered I have to carry him back to his hotel room. I empty his pockets and there it is, his phone this was like 2007, so no Face ID or shite like that. He knocks the frick out and I flip it open, scroll to shannon Dougherty, and promptly pussy out.

Not the first time I've heard this about Lecavalier. I've met many hockey players and most are very down-to-earth. Nonetheless, sorry your boys had that experience.

Went out with the Spanish national soccer team while living in NYC. Javier Martinez (Athletic Club and Bayern) and Pepe Reina (Barcelona, Liverpool, MANY others) were extremely nice. Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal, Barca, Chelsea) was an a total prick.

Met Kim Dickens (Treme, Fear the Walking Dead, The Blind Side, others) at a restaurant and she was incredibly kind. My brother met Gary Player at a golf event - he asked my brother to punch him in the stomach to feel his abs, super nice/funny guy.

But to keep with the thread's original intent: Chef Jose Andres is the biggest prick, celebrity or otherwise, I've ever met. My wife works with people he works with; we went to a party at their house and Jose was there, they told us he's a jerk, and yet I was still in awe of what an a-hole he was. I know he does nice things (not sure he does all that much) and plays cute on TV, but it's all an act.
