Yes, evidence has been found that pot use by the developing brain can reduce microstructural brain development

So at what age would you consider the brain fully developed. Asking for a friend

Nothing is set in stone, it totally varies from one subject to another friend. Rarely before 20 but sometimes not even by 80

Maybe, but for different reasons. Pot isn't metabolized as quickly and completely as alcohol. I've had toxicologists explain to me (I am not a toxicologist) that marijuana's intoxicants remain in the body and active for more than two weeks before they are completely eliminated. If you are a regular user, you develop an ambient level of intoxicants which can exceed the level for impairment even though you haven't smoked any today and don't feel stoned.

I have been advised that the residual levels in the body can reach a point that you are always some degree of impaired. Maybe that's what the OP is getting at.

I always find it interesting that potheads have to bring alcohol into the comparison argument, like it helps their cause. "Maaannn its no different than alcohol. You know another negative mind altering drug, so why cant it be legal too maaannn??"...Smfh

This is about non developed minds, kids from 16-25, yes partaking in the weed at a young age has lasting effects. I'm sure it does once your brain is fully developed but not to this extent I dont think.

But anyway, no shite, also I did a study and drinking is bad for your liver, who knew...

I don't think you'd find anyone that disagrees with the study based on their personal experiences.

But it ends there... even though I have a feeling you're suggesting MJ should be illegal based on this study.

fricking another bullshite scare tactic article. Read the first sentence and you should be able to see the bullshite and stop reading any further.

quote:

Associations between adolescent cannabis use and poor neurocognitive functioning have been reported from cross-sectional studies that cannot determine causality.

Who the frick is advocating adolescents to use cannabis? And no we aren't talking about those who are using cannabis medicinally, but for recreation. No fricking sane adult would be promoting this bullshite, yet we have this article stating it as such.

Why don't they do a study on adolescents drinking alcohol and see how the results compare. Or perhaps giving adolescents opiates or amphetamines and then compare it to weed/alcohol?

Where is the proof cannabis intoxicates you? When I smoke, I don't loose coordination, and in fact I love to play sports and dominate while high. When I smoke I don't show other signs of intoxication, like extreme sudden changes in behavior, slurred speech, falling asleep while talking, etc.

Last time I checked, enhancing the senses does not make you intoxicated. Marijuana enhances the senses, and doesn't dull them (like a true intoxicant).

Thanks for the advice, PawPaw.

BTW that study was probably paid for by Jack Daniels and Budweiser.
