For those that don't know the background. She was married to Kyle Cooke, who is an entrepreneur who started Loverboy hard teas. He started the company, runs it, assumes all risk and responsibility, but according to her they were "in it together" because she would do some social media and design stuff. He is also known for partying, which he does a lot of on Summer House. He recently started DJing, largely to promote Loverboy and make a bunch more money, so he's traveling a lot.
Knowing all this, she said "he took the two things I asked him to stop doing...drinking so much and partying...and made them his career".
So she wanted him to not do the things that made him all that money and which funded the lifestyle she did nothing to create, but which he was already doing when they were dating.
So there's your context. And yes, we do watch Summer House. Kyle is a good watch on that show.
ETA: And McCaig is correct...her style is so unattractive. But New Yorkers do tend to make themselves as ugly as possible and suggest to everyone else that that's the hot new style.

I think she’s a mental head case and they aren’t good together, but let’s not act like Kyle a saint.
He’s a 43 year old DJ that became a DJ at 40. A lot of that is prob an attempt to promote a failing brand he’s prob deep in the hole in. What woman wants to be married that? He cheated on her while they dated. Hell, he was dating someone when they originally hooked up so don’t feel sorry for her.
Reality TV is bad for everyone…and pics of the victim:
