College isn't what it used to be. These kids don't talk to each other anymore.
It's also not the experience it once was. Plenty of people go to college as a job and not as their life. In the 1930s students lived on campus (often rural locations) and rarely went home. Now they have apartments and jobs and do a 9-5 at school while leading a social life that may have nothing to do with college life.
Also a lot less women going to get their MRS.

What category would "cruising around town in the Summer" fall into?

When I was at Tech, there were only 2 bars open past midnight and the were the de facto party locations. I remember hearing about 5-10 years after I graduated that students didn’t really go there as much anymore and that the whole party scene was dying. Kinda bummed me out.

It is really suprisingly to me. I would have thought there would be a more pronounced shift during the Covid years.
Also, I am shocked at how many people meet online. I would have to assume those are all dating apps? People must be spending a fortune on those apps nowadays.

Met mine on a Blind Date. While in the Navy, drove up to pick up a shipmate. His wife introduced me to a previous schoolmate nursing student. .

The “family” part is just wrong. Are you claiming that back in the 1930s that 25% of couples were in-bred?
I also don’t believe that today less than 1% of couple meet in college

Celebrated my 10th anniversary last Fall. Online is how I met met my soulmate. Married to my first wife for 13 years and met her thru friends. My wife was married for 20 years, married her high school sweetheart. He's on his 3rd marriage; my ex has been engaged once since our divorce and just remarried a couple of years ago to another dude.
Online dating opened the doors for dropping your line in a fully stocked pond. A lot of throw backs, but your chances of catching a nice one, greatly improved.

60% online sounds a bit high
Coworkers being up there is interesting.. granted that’s where I met my wife. But that high up I wasn’t expecting but it makes sense

I've heard similar things about my alma mater. I hate it for them.

I met my wife at work. Tried the dating apps circa 2015-19 but it felt hard to establish real connections with people I didn't meet organically

My 14 year old son introduced me to my now wife. For real. 29 years ago. I was long divorced, and he was visiting me, went to a pool party at the apartments clubhouse. Called, said I was boring. I went and he was hanging out with my soon to be Mrs. HB and her sister and brother-in-law. They had a margarita machine going, a dj, a grill master and beers and stuff. She won the hoola hoop contest and that was it for me.

I met her in church!
I met her in church, on a Sunday morning
She looked at me with eyes of love, as the choir sang, "Hallelujah!"
Hallelujah!
I met her in church
I met her in church; we fell in love on a Sunday morning
All at once, I heard angels singing, singing "Hallelujah!"
Singing, Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Freshman year in college. She had a friend in ine if my classes who thought I was good looking, so she came to check me out. Ended up sitting next to me (class had assigned seats and the guy next to me never came to class). Chatter her up the whole class.
