That’s extremely shortsighted . In the scheme of brain surgery, putting in a VP shunt is usually not a big deal. And the prognosis is pretty positive if it’s treated.

The anesthesia almost took him out last time.
But I agree with you for the most part.

Great, great artist.
I love the old internet joke about how 'Piano Man' is told from the perspective of a house musician in a gay bar, but he's the only one who doesn't realize everyone there is gay. Thus you have the guy who 'never had time for a wife', who's 'talking to Davie who's still in the Navy and probably will be for life', 'old man sitting next to me', or John who 'gets me drinks for free', etc.

True. It's a relative term.

Went to see him at Madison Square Garden a few years back. It was incredible. Glad I went when I went.
Hopefully he can beat this.

Another masterpiece. Pure genius. Makes me happy and sad at the same time.

Freshman year, what the actives had been hyping all semester as a hazing session actually turned out to be big brother-little brother night at a strip joint on Plank Road. Most of the strippers were about like you'd expect on Plank Road but there was one named Sherrie who was beautiful, or at least she was to drunk 18 year old JR. She danced to this.

We were planning to buy tickets to the Nola show. I’m sad.

What a fantastic song… very sad. I have him in my top 5 all time single artists…

He's definitely on that list.
You could also probably put him on a top-5 singer/songwriter and just straight songwriter list.

So, you play your albums and you smoke your pot
And you meet your girlfriend in the parkin' lot
Oh, but still you're aching for the things you haven't got
What went wrong?

Can be very treatable with a shunt to relieve pressure by letting csf out.
This is the route my mother went. Leaving it untreated seemed risky, and I'd say it cleared up her symptoms a good amount, though the memory functions never returned to any kind of normal, but she's also in the senior age range. Overall, I'd say it was a successful procedure and corrected a few things.

Depending on your age, there’s a ton of people that have been alive your whole life that can’t have much time left.

If you mean creatively with his songwriting I wouldn’t disagree. He has never mailed in his performances. I’ve seen some great performances in the last 10 years by Joel.
I’ve also heard about shows where fans were making class action lawsuits because he was so drunk/high.
That said I’d love to see him one time.
