Have a friend that says he’ll sleep for 7-10 minutes at a time on the interstate in his Tesla. Has to wear sunglasses so it dosent know your eyes are closed.

Some people much smarter than me are going to buy a bunch locally and make it work as a business.

I've used Tesla FSD on road trips to Austin and Houston and will go literal hours without ever touching the steering wheel. I've been in cities I'm not familiar with and it's taken me from hotel to destination flawlessly. It's driven me in rain as well and adjusts to the conditions perfectly. I'm all in on this tech and honestly, I would consider this assuming I can use the car whenever I want it and it's not out on the streets picking up fares.
Sidenote - I now have some experience with Ford Blue and it's literally so far behind Tesla's FSD, Elon has nothing to worry about anytime soon.

I think most people that get these for personal use will also have it as a source of income when they are not using it. Just use it to commute to work and while you are working, it’s also working and earning you income through a rideshare fleet. It will be interesting to see how this impacts uber, Lyft, etc. It seems like this would drive cost down with the supply of rideshare vehicles going through the roof.

I love my tesla, but the autopilot is so god damn slow. Every baw in a lifted truck is going to ride your arse here in FL
Teslas on autopilot here in ATL drive me up a wall.
I will ride the arse of every one that is doing 5 below the speed limit and takes 3 seconds to get going at a green light.

So you buy one for your "business", but just use it for personal use? I love it!

I usually pick a charger at a Buc-ee's or shopping center so I can walk around a bit. Usually takes between 20-30 minutes before it's ready to get to the next charger or destination. It tells you how much power you'll have when you get to the next charger or destination, so you know if you're cutting it close or can possibly make it to the next one.
"You'll arrive at the next charger with 30% charge"
Since I have free supercharging for life, I don't even have a charger at my house other than the 120V charger that you keep in the trunk, which I've never even unpacked. There is a 460V Supercharger 2 miles from my home in Dallas, that I stop by once a week. The location closest to my house has Pluckers, Sushi, Pizza, Bar, Gelato...literally too many options to list, so I just grab lunch or dinner and charge it instead of buying gas or not even buying electricity for $20.

I'd probably save money by Ubering instead of paying car notes + insurance + maintenance.

Considering the typical a-hole, I can't imagine the condition the interior gets returned to you each evening.

Def looking to start up my own Delamain in real life. Do these come with automated defense weaponry as well?

One other thing to mention, Tesla service is also a game changer! The only expenses I had in the years of ownership are two things: tires and wiper blades. When you need anything serviced, you just go on your Tesla app on your phone, and the service technician comes to wherever you are with exactly what you need to get going.
Within 45 minutes of me requesting service a Mercedes Sprinter van showed up with my new tires and changed them in my garage cheaper than I would have paid for speed rated, low-profile tires at Sam's where I buy my other tires for my other vehicles. I used to get on the accelerator pretty hard to impress sports cars next to me, but I stopped doing that shite.
For as long as I owned the vehicle, my only expenses have been 4 tires: $1250 and wipers $40 and insurance. Paid cash for the car over 4 years ago and haven't paid anything else other than those three expenses.

I can see another reason to buy one.
(I'm old, I still have my eyesight and mind, but each year I get older.)
At some point I should stop driving.
So, why not buy one of these to drive me around?

I wonder if we'll ever get to the point that no one owns their own vehicle and the streets are full of auto-driven Uber-type vehicles for hire.
We all should hope not. Someone will control it all, and you could lose mobility in the flip of a switch. Then, you'll be afoot. Of course, you can't move much on foot because of the loitering drones that track movement.

I'm trying to get my grandpa to get one because he's almost 90 and still drives from Nola to Destin every other week. But his range anxiety is off the charts.

With Unsupervised FSD ,you’ll be able to sleep, do work, watch movies, and even play games as the car is driving you to your destination.
Or just scroll on your fricking phone.
The _____ near future tech will give everyone so much more productivity time makes me laugh every time.

Would imagine it would be an urban thing before moving suburban and not likely rurally.
