Giant leaps in modification or creation of genes vs reaching stasis, both contained in the same theory, isnt congruent

Its like putting traffic lights on the autobahn. One person can make record time, if they make all the lights, while another can make an excuse about how slow they went due the time it took for them to make it through all the lights

Its very convenient in pushing a flawed theory forward, tho

This was new about a decade ago. It is now widely accepted. There has not been enough time for all of the crazy adaptations to have occurred randomly.

What an amazing thread

We've hit the jackpot

No one claiming to believe in Creationism while hitting every single talking point

1. Its just a theory, not a law, and im simply challenging it by providing an alternative point of view
2. It doesnt explain how different species evolved from the same parent
3. It is mathematically impossible
4. It doesnt even adhere to the scientific method itself

Bravo. Bravo

Well, first of all, if youre referencing the creation, this is pure stupidity on your part. The 6,000 year guesstimate is not Biblical. One priest threw it together, and the most moronic of the atheists/agnostics latched onto its fallacy. I've attended churches for decades and not once have we been taught the Earth is only 6,000 years old. Grow up

There are posters on this board who literally believe this though, so I don’t know why you’re getting angry.

Well said. Tight and gift wrapped. And no response will be given.

You should edit to admit you were wrong. There are several response posts with links that ostensibly disagree.

The power of time explains alot of things, 4 billion years is a very long time. Micro shifts can go a long way in 4 billion years.
Just like the pyramids they weren’t built on a modern time line. They were built over a lifetime.
The way I can be comfortable with evolution and religion is that the bible never says how or how long biblical creation took.

Seems there are a few problems with accepted science

Science, just like nature, evolves over time.

I thought most educated scientists and researchers, whether they believe in God or not, had already dismissed the theory of evolution as a legitimate reason to explain life on Earth.

I do not know, nor does the theory of evolution address abiogenesis

However there have been some extremely promising tests done on abiogenesis recently that are pretty wild

You're right. Evolution is false. A superior being created life, and the being sent his word to Mohammad through the Qu'ran.

We're done here, right?

This is not true. A lot of scientists have found the time frame from the Big Bang to now to be inadequate for evolution to have worked. Now that could mean that the Big Bang is wrong rather than evolution being wrong. But something needs explaining.

The whole point of religion is to explain the why, not the how.

Would you look at that! Urban birds have evolved just since COVID:

Smithsonian - Beaks

"The dark-eyed junco study is also a reminder of how quickly evolution can occur. The common perception is that evolution takes place gradually, over thousands of years. But species can adapt much more quickly than that. And these changes often take place in plain sight.

“You don’t have to go to Antarctica or to the mountains in Nepal or to the plains of Africa,” Pamela Yeh, a study co-author and evolutionary biologist at UCLA, tells the Times. “You can go right out to your backyard … and see something pretty amazing happening.”"

Initial conditions matter and this is a glaring shortcoming in evolutionary theory (I'm being charitable because apart from having the correct initial conditions, this is not theory, but fantasy).
