Anyone who expects real food at McDonald's is dumb.

They aren't falsely advertising though.
They tell you what's in it.

As much as I enjoy junk food I haven’t had a McRib in years. Can I still cash in?

Anyone want to jump in on a lawsuit with me that their French fries aren’t imported from France?
Posted on 1/6/26 at 7:17 am to LSUTANGERINE
Probably not but it is cheaper to settle than defend. Their insurance will payout, premiums go up, and so will prices

And hot dogs don’t contain any real dog meat.
(I don’t think)

Hotdogs don't have dog.

Should be tossed. It has pork in it so it meets the description. What are the damages? The cost of one mcrib?
If you went back and got another one then you liked it. Case dismissed.
I would also sanction the lawyer who took the case.

Eh, Krusty the Clown on The Simpsons told everyone decades ago:

I think the lawsuit does not win because it is shaped like ribs. McD never claims it has rib meat, but it does call it the McRib. But...it's shaped like a rib, so if they say that's the reason for the name, I think it's valid.

I really wasn’t asking about the merits of the lawsuit.

I work at McDs in the 80s. We had pics of the sundaes and a guy told me if I couldn’t make it look like the pic he was going to sue.
ETA: I actually liked when the McRib came out each year back then. I would not eat one today.

It is amazing how loosely regulated our fast food industry is here in the US
…it is also amazing how we just shovel that nasty shite right into our mouths, assuming it is actually food and that it has a modicum of nutrition in it.

While I admittedly love McD’s from time to time, I can confidently state that I’m not eligible to be class member. I’ve never once even been so much as tempted to try that abomination.

If the judge was worth a warm bucket of spit he would tell the plaintiff attorney to pull the suit or he would be held in contempt and his client would be put in custody because mentally he could not be sane enough to not be of harm to himself and others.....
