Yea but HEB is actually the best, so it all works out.

Rouses in my area is strange. You have the kinda nice but bizarre layout by the causeway, a pretty decent one by Hannan but way to fair out for me, and the closest one, Claiborne Hill location which makes me feel like I’m in a third world country. That particular location has the most head scratching stock choices. They don’t have a lot of common items that the other locations and other grocers carry. I only have to go there if I have to and I almost always leave frustrated.

I agree. Rouses in the Mandeville /Covington area aren't nearly as nice as the ones I have been to in other areas. And the one that used to be next to Home Depot was an embarrassment to the brand.

interesting. we definitely don’t have the same Kroger then. My Kroger sushi looks like gas station sushi. My 6 year old begs for HEB sushi every week.

Zappa's Stache does not agree with this at all. He said Kroger is superior.

that makes sense, HEB must not carry male menstruation products for Zappas.

HEB Queso Blanco or the Brisket Queso plus however much of this bag of habanero sauce you can handle is absolutely delicious.

despicably good.

if you’re looking to chip in or bring a side/starter to a party. don’t over think it. HEB’s Brisket Queso will be demolished in 10 minutes.

1- Flat Iron steaks; can’t get that at HEB
2- Sushi, as I like theirs better than HEB
3- Fried chicken

You must be a special kind of retarded to not be able to find flat iron steaks and fried chicken at H-E-B. What you think is wrong with their sushi where you prefer union made bullshite at the overpriced midwestern grocery that is Kroger means there is something wrong with you.

I really miss my Austin Texas Far West location HEB. I don't live in Austin anymore. That store was always fully stocked and pristine clean. All lanes always open with bag boys and they refused tips if offered.

Nothing even remotely close in New Orleans. I know all HEB locations weren't run that way but mine was. I miss the damn store more than almost anything else in Austin.

I don't miss the cluster frick traffic.

I wish we had some nice non Walmart grocery stores up here in Waltonland. The other option is Harp's.

I’ve long advocated for HEB to buy Rouses

I’d be ok with Publix buying Rouses

Only issue is Publix non-sale prices are higher than giraffe lady parts

When one of my sons became a traitor and went to A&M, we got acquainted with HEB. Now my wife has us going to TX every year just for that.

At least I get to visit Spec's Liquor on those trips. Amazing.
