The “journalists” that copy and paste stuff to social media?
I’m gonna go with no.
And what’s wild is, it takes a college degree to get to copy and paste to social media

The way the Advocate paywalls relevant public information is reason enough for me to never support them.

While I agree with you, reading a supposed non-opinion piece that's obviously an opinion piece gets annoying quickly.

Probably more people using ad blockers and blocking third party cookies. If you can't see ads, and they can't sell your information to data brokers, they're dead in the water.
I've never seen an ad on TD because I use a real browser, but there's also no apparently way for me to pay Chicken $5 a month or whatever for the lost revenue.

To save a journalist you would have to be able to find one. Hard thing to do nowadays

Did you send a reply to the effect of "frick you"?

There is no such thing as real journalism anymore. It is now tainted with opinions rather than facts. And they wonder why their profession is grouped with used car salesman and billboard lawyers.

Were they recipients of that USAID money?

There's no value with the Advocate. Anytime I click a link and an Advocate paywall pops up, I immediately close out and then search WAFB. BOOM - same info, but free. WAFB gets my click.
It's a shame because they have the cache, the rep, etc. But with this subscription model, it's a loser. I'm not paying for local news. Not with the product they put out.

Help Save Our Journalist
Yesterday, on the Advocate’s website, there was an article about Hurricane Gabrielle and two other storms that continue to ‘church’ at sea. I guess that was supposed to be ‘churn’?

Help us pay a bunch of 24 year old retarded propagandists so we can keep pretending we’re socialists without having to actually practice it.

Why would anyone want to donate to that rag? John Georges literally bought the Advocate to be his political mouthpiece.
He tried to run as a Republican for governor and lost, so he changed to Independent. Then he tried to run as a Democrat for New Orleans mayor and lost. Now he says he is Republican again.
