Well, it’s a Canes thread, so grown men will line up to trash it and throw shade.

Not sure why this widely successful fast food spot triggers adults males, but you guy wallow in the mud anytime this name is mentioned. It’s freaking weird.

It's crab dip, made in countless homes in Louisiana for 100 years

Big deal. It’s not that great. Just public manipulation.

Two parts ketchup
One part mayo
Worcestershire, Garlic power, Salt and pepper to taste

Mix all in a bowl together

Thats the recipe

You think "add 4 pivotal ingredients till it tastes right" is the official Canes recipe/policy?

Cane's sauce is literally that sauce.

If y’all ever get around Mobile, you have to try Foosackly’s.

It’s the copy of the copy. But i think it does it better than both. Plus, they have bacon queso fries which are amazing.

Looks like Walmart copied it:

You can even get the tenders, but they come frozen.

Walmart already changed that sauce - it’s now weird & oily/rancid tasting.

Those tenders are nothing like Canes - they’re flat and long.

Do not recommend purchasing either.

the sauce isnt anything special but since it is a trade secret if any high level execs leave and start a similar concept it is just more ammunition in a lawsuit since they treat it as a trade secret. not illegal to recreate it as long as you dont know the ingredients.

Dad kept a lot of Zapp’s flavors in a safe as well. Also had a backup on an office computer that was not connected to the internet/LAN.

That’s actually common. I’ve worked at a place that made Hidden Valley Ranch.

They would ship us an unlabeled spice blend to add.

Canes has to be one of the most overrated food establishments I’ve eaten at. Add Chick-fil-A to that now, their food has gone downhill. Let the downvotes shower down.

Maybe you’re just dramatic.

Chick Fil A and Canes are at the top of the fast food game.

I appreciate all that he has done for Tigers, but it’s some bland chicken and sauce is nasty.

Only thing I like is the Texas Toast & I make a Chicken sandwich.

Give me Popeyes all day, every day.

It has some cayenne in it and a couple other spices.

Add in a small pinch of Louisiana crawfish boil powder and it’s nearly identical.

The real secret is getting a pack of Louisiana Hot Sauce and adding it in. Thank me later

For a smaller batch, it's this:

3/4 cups Mayo
1/4 cup Ketchup
5 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
12 tsp. Garlic Powder

Mix well. Let's sit in refrigerator for 24 hours before serving.
