While not important right now, long term this storm might have just given Harris the election. North Carolina is going to go Harris now.
Asheville is a progressive leftist Mecca. I believe it was mostly destroyed.
Besides, red areas are more resilient and less dependent on government than blue areas.

GFS Model gives several scenarios so far today ...
Anywhere from a weak Tropical Depression landfall near LA/TX border.
Another a Cat 1 along the Emerald Coast btwn Gulf Shores & PAnama City
The latest has a weak 1005 millibar LOW breaking off drifting West toward South TX ....
.Main LOW meandering in northern Gulf faking out FL Panhandle & making landfall St Bernard Parish only @ 1004 millibars...then getting caught up in Front headed NE

Yeah, they’re gonna be basking in elation at the swift response Biden/Harris is about to put on them.

Why would this push the election Harris' way? I haven't sen her or BIden coming out and doing much for anyone.

Isn’t the GFS showing a hurricane hitting the panhandle on Saturday?

I don't really want it on Florida but Louisiana is far more vulnerable than most areas on the Gulf Coast. Not only that I think we've got hit enough the past 4 years or so. Didn't we get hit by like 5 hurricanes in 2020? It felt like Louisiana had a warning every single week of hurricane season. Then we got hit by a historic storm in Ida the next year which the previous year Laura was also historic. I know 3 families who moved out of Louisiana because of 2020's hurricane season. I know another who left after Ida.
I'd be fine if we got hit by a tropical storm or something. Wouldn't lie I'd be scared it would blow up though. I trust nothing in hurricane season - especially after the past few years. Gives me anxiety thinking about it.

It is what it is. They vote or don’t. 2nd, who says cackles voters aren’t dead? Maybe they’ll get a good dose of our current adm and it’s favoritism over foreigners than helping Americans.

That’s a moderate tropical storm at 995mb

I really wish I hadn't looked at the Tidbits eight days out.
OTOH, my husband found out why our generator quit after about eight hours. The on off switch died iand it turned itself off after the fuel in the engine starter was used up (like 15-20 seconds). He had worked on the carboreter and taken the engine apart and gave up, at which point the power came back. After that 24 hours of no power, we decided we really had to have a generator.

While not a big storm that would be devastating to the areas already flooding to drop more rain on them

Need one of the resident weather experts to explain if more political posts favor storm development or a disorganized tropical wave next week.

No Mr Roboto, don’t put that shite on us. Since my expert died in the Spring, you guys are going to have to suffice. ??

Some of his supporters now are dead, many of his supporters are now homeless. No doubt very few of his supporters in Western NC care about the election right now.
Simmer down, pot roast. If you know many, you know that rednecks and hill Williams are about as tough as railroad spikes, survivors, and able to handle their business. The Dems lack of post-Helene help will grow the animosity toward the border czar that nobody voted for.

Trump will take care of it for us.

Because the Ministry of Truth spins every disaster response by the Left to be a tremendous victory and every disaster response by conservatives to be a complete failure. It's that simple. Don't trust your lying eyes. Facts are irrelevant.
