a lot of middle easterners now

The old school Jewish population has basically conceded the cheesy glitz and glamor of that area to Middle Eastern money.

Meanwhile, they’ve headed to the hills or up the coast with the rest of the old school money.

Don't expect me to walk to the end of my expansive driveway and meet your tour bus.

No. Los Angeles as a whole is a total shithole. I honestly couldn’t tell you one good quality about the entire area.

I’d never live there but when I go out there to see family I’ll drive around a lot. Usually Santa Monica through Beverly Hills /Hollywood north through Laurel Canyon then west to Calabasas then down Malibu Canyon and the PCH back to Santa Monica. Beautiful scenery (ruined by idiot voters)

Company is based there and stay at the Beverly Hilton. My wife and I have gotten coffee and walked around the neighborhoods and eaten lunch many times. I love it. So unique and I love seeing how the other side lives.

I've seen a couple of filming locations setup at houses.

I don't know who this Beverly Hill chick is, but Angela Hill's were spectacular back in the day.

We used to go out there and train jiu jitsu at the mothership in Torrance and at Kron's old school in Culver City but damn the homeless have taken over LA. I know you don't see that in Beverly Hills but holy shite it is bad in Santa Monica.

Just went. Beverly Hills and bel Air were extremely nice. We took a day to also go drive down highway 1 to see Laguna Beach, newport beach, etc. Those areas were also very nice.

Hollywood is horrible, it's honestly worse or on par with Canal St. Bunch of trashy souvenir shops, and undesirable people around. I was shocked by that.

It's definitely worth cruising Sunset Boulevard and walking around UCLA. The best part of LA is Manhattan Beach though, IMO.

I love California but hate Los Angeles and surrounding cities. Every where you look there’s massive interstates, homeless people and trash

I walked around the shops and got coffee and lunch there. Let the kids each get one designer shirt. Man some stuff is crazy expensive. . I rented a Mercedes that trip because the previous one I had a Hyundai and felt out of place parked on Rodeo.

I visited many years ago. And some other towns there, too. Beautiful, although our FL beaches are prettier. It sure was depressing flying back in over Kenner and seeing how ugly after visiting there.

My favorite place to go when I land if I don’t have any lunches. Those houses went from $50k to $3mm so quickly though.

Apparently not so much for regulars to live in or to run businesses in.

Most of the people and all of the politics suck. It might be the only place I would say being 40% owned by the federal govt is a positive thing.
