JP has some good things to say but he is clueless when it comes to modern dating. He married his high school sweetheart and oblivious to the current dating landscape. His constant messages of how “men, you guys are wrong”, “listen to her, she’s right” is not helpful to anyone.

Also, the last few times I heard him talk, it seems like he gave up the fight with the progressive, PC army. In addition, he told people to just accept the result of the election even though he acknowledged shenanigans was disappointing.

Have never listened to Rogan ever. Listened for about 30 minutes of this. Peterson's brain works on a completely different level than Rogan. Rogan kind of sounds like a moron

When he's talking to really smart people, he gets hung up on stupid details of the conversation and completely derails it with stoner-like questions.

I can’t believe people are still listening to Peterson’s platitudes.

It's pretty harmless stuff. Not sure why people are so triggered over it.

Because he’s not a fan of communists. That’s why he’s hated.

I shouldnt be knocking Rogan, hes obviously not stupid, just not what I was expecting. I listen to Carolla who can absolutely hold his own with people who may be smarter than he is(although I think Carolla is brilliant).

He kinda is. Doesn't help that he is stoned half the time. Rogan works well in that capacity though because he isn't afraid to ask stupid questions to smart people which gets them to elaborate and better explain what they are talking about.

I don’t know why this is getting downvoted. A lot of Petersons brand is platitudes.

Now it’s platitudes that a certain segment of the population need and want to hear because apparently they never were told these things before, so in that regard, Peterson is doing a service to our society.

Although his rise kinda just shines a light on just how many people, especially young males, are lost these days.

I’ve still never gotten over his idea of truth.

I'm an hour and a half in and it's been pretty chaotic hopping from subject to subject. I hope he settles down at some point.

Yeah, 12 Rules for Life was groundbreaking, and nothing I had been exposed to before.

Geez, man. You're kind of a joke. JP is serious business for you.

Of course, I've already mentioned that his overall message is fine, but you're so angry, you couldn't comprehend that. Wade =

i don't see anybody saying 12 Rules for Life was ground breaking.

for a lot of guys in their 20s and 30s that grew up with boomer helicopter parents, clean up your room, stop playing video games, don't date just to bang, and embrace adulthood, was a brand new message.

we can of course laugh at the simplicity of it and say it doesn't apply to us. well yeah. he's not writing a book to responsible adults. he's writing a book to non-responsible adults who feel aimless because they weren't given basic rules and boundaries at a young age.

i give to a local charity that specifically goes to lower income areas and (for lack of a better way to put it) tries to encourage young black guys to not get girls pregnant and wait till they're ready to be fathers. that's mostly simple. it's what most of us grew up with, but it's not what's taught in that particular community.

back to basics isn't always bad.

My response was a facetious response to wade. Wade insinuated that I was a snowflake who was triggered by JP's message.

It’s quite the shock to my generation what so many young millennial bros don’t get about life on planet earth. And I’m not talking to you plant operator truck nut bros. I’m talking to guys like Salmon who have to ask their wife’s boyfriend how to change a tire. And his book addresses that need to dispense some wisdom on lost youth like Salmon who are just flailing.

Just breaking your balls Salmon, giving you shite. I know you didn’t have to ask your wife’s boyfriend how to change a tire because he made you watch a YouTube video like 3 years ago, so you already knew.
