This is why Louisiana can never advance. You either get commie democrats or cheesdick RINO fricks just in it for themselves. I absolutely hate that we had to vote for Landry as our only option other than Democrats. Look at all of the elections that JBE won: you either picked slimeball Vitter or Eddie Rispone. Do better Louisiana Republican Party.

Don't worry. I'm sure he'll present some vaguely worded, purposely obtuse amendments to address tort reform and make the state more business friendly next April.
Then cry like the whiny bitch he is when they fail.

Never, ever, count on the legislature to do anything to benefit the state.
It is the worst deliberative body in the developed world.

A trip on a private jet sounds like something that would go above the maximum allowed gift acceptance limits.
Usually legislators exempt themselves from such since they aren't "state employees". Yes still bullshite.

My wife is an event manager at a restaurant in the Quarter and recently told me that every year at Christmas, one of the scumbag billboard lawyers has a big party for all of the medical professionals his firm uses for "injury" cases.
However much you hate injury lawyers, it's not nearly enough.

Yeah, because all the tort reform they already passed has saved the citizens of this state a single penny. Deposit insurance industry promises.

How many times will Lucy pull the football away before someone learns?

Gordon McKernan, one of the two attorneys, flew House Speaker Phillip DeVillier, Senate President Cameron Henry and three committee chairpersons on his law firm’s jet on Monday to the Tributary Sporting Club near Austin. Landry met them there. They all returned Wednesday. Landry issued the invitations, and Protect Louisiana Values, one of his political organizations, paid for their stay at the hunting resort, lawmakers said.
If you’re ever wondering “what exactly is a good ole baw network?” any time someone
mentions the good ole baw network… this is what they mean.
Landry, Devillier, McKernan… what a spectacular gathering of south Louisiana blowhards.

LSU Law and SU Law run the legislature... Blame your own.

Well “we” didn’t have to vote for Landry as the only option other than Democrats. There were several Republicans to choose from.

They already made changes to the collateral source rule that are adequate.
They need to increase no pay/no play to something like 150/300. The 15/30 limit doesn't do shite. That's where your problems come from.
Look into Landry's association with and handling of the McClenny, Mosley & Associates stuff. Nothing was ever going to change under his purview.

Every single Republican on the ballet would of beat the Dem in a runoff

And probably Nelson.
Way too smart for his own good and to be Louisiana's governor. He was the brains behind the CAs. He is the smartest person I have ever met, but needs someone to dumb things down to make sense to Louisiana.

If the plane crashed, Louisiana would have beem a better place.
We already pay the highest auto insurance rates in the United States of America despite that Louisiana ranks 48th in the country in median income. Auto insurance is a regressive tax on the working and the honest.
This happened the second the Gumbo Pac money switched to Landry.

So what Tort reform did JBE implement in his two terms?
