LMAO that you think a lab diamond is the same as a natural diamond. There is a reason for the price difference. Buy hey you do you. You should buy colored glass and pass it off as an Emerald, baller.

Oh yes they can tell. A competent jeweler can absolutely tell if there are no inclusions in a diamond, which is suspicious af if it's large and the person bringing it in isn't an OT baller.
Yes, they can suspect, but not every lab diamond is D-E/IF. To confirm, they’d have to have specialized equipment to look for growth patterns, etc.
I’m sure their suspicions are more accurate than not now that labs are ubiquitous

Diamonds are a scam. Never understood why colored stones like emeralds and sapphires arent more popular

Lab grown don’t hold their value.

It quite literally is. You can argue that they can be told apart by a jeweler, but there is chemically no difference between the two

Yeah, marketing
Also anyone buying a diamond based on resale value is a moron.

Well, with a lab grown diamond you get a perfectly latticed carbon structure.
And with a natural diamond, you get a perfectly latticed carbon structure, AND you get sodomized by the jeweler on the price

Jewelers can tell the difference.
If your spouse/fiance brings it in, your arse is new mown grass.

If you can’t comprehend the multiple posts in this thread that state the differences, I can’t help you.

It's not a real diamond unless there's a warlord in the supply chain.

I would ask the fiancée which she prefers. If she chooses blood diamonds, tell her fine, but she better never say a damn thing about him lacking empathy.

Can you tell the difference? Would she know if it was lab grown ?
Or is it like recycling.. where the garbage is all dumped together but it makes people feel better when it’s all diamonds unearthed by slave labor now
How do they keep separate lab grown vs natural?

Russia and Canada produce significant amounts of high quality gemstones.
Conflict diamonds make up less than 1% today, with it’s peak at @ 20% in the 90’s.

It’s ok to admit you don’t understand the difference.
