kicking his arse is always an option
Well no shite, but that wouldn’t make him move out and just make my family a target when I’m not home.
Plus- he’ll be going into prison as a child sex offender. He’s got a fair share of arse poundings headed his way soon.

But, this guy has aggravated sexual assault on a 7 y.o. female.
How is this guy even out walking amongst us?
That’s death penalty to me. They can’t be rehabilitated.

Could you tell the HOA that you are planning to Home School one of your kids next year and then he would have to move (being 500 feet within a school)?
Not how that works

depends on his situation.
I know a guy that is legally registered as a sex offender.
he was 18, his girlfriend was 16.
they've now been married over 20 years.
but he still has to register.

My point - I homeschool and there was a sex offender across the street. Luckily that group home went up for sale and a bunch of lesbians bought it.

Wait, they don't have to inform the area that they're on the national sex offender registry in Tx? You should've gotten a notification email from the authorities that a sex offender on the national registry has moved in the area. That's mandatory for high risk offenders nationally. Some states of course have to go door to door to notify neighbors.
But, according to TX regulation the authorities are supposed to notify you of a high risk offender immediately after he notifies them he's moved in the area.
And yes, you should most definately make ppl aware of him moving in. That's a sick mfkr that doesn't deserve to be alive after doing that to a child. I'd make sure everyone was aware. Any parent would want to know that's in the area!

Everyone should know. I just searched my zip and have several and most of them have names that sounds like suicide bombers.

Should I share info with neighbors with daughters?
This was before sexual offenders had their names on the internet but they did have to register their addresses with the county sheriff.
My neighbor's father was sheriff at the time. He was in his father's office and overheard an offender registering his address. It was two doors away from him and across the street from me. We both had young children. He went home, told his wife, and she went door to door warning everyone.
Someone convinced the offender that he would probably be happier living somewhere else.

They’re not my type and apparently it’s mutual, so it’s not as fun as it sounds
They could also be my mother

I believe it’s required by the sex offender to let everyone know.

Sooo…., what you’re really saying is that you believe that they CAN be rehabilitated. Right?

Print out the website page and or pull it up on your phone when/if you talk with your neighbors...that way that realize it's for real and not just something you're bringing up because you don't like the guy...etc.

I live in a small town in Central Texas and ran for local office last year. Of course during that time I learned nearly everything about everyone in the community, including the handful of sex offenders.
I've got 2 kids under 4 and another on the way, and am close with a half dozen families also with young kids like us.
Needless to say I blasted the frick out of these sex offenders. I told every single person who they are, where they live, what they drive, what they were convicted of, what they look like.
Yes, you should tell all your friends and neighbors.

It turns out the sex offender shot to death was convicted of statutory rape for having sexual relations with a 17-year-old girl when he was 19. Not exactly what one thinks of when they think of sex offenders.
Sounds like a sex offender to me.
There is a guy I went to school with who's locked up for life under a "three strikes" law. Strike one was selling weed to a narc. The second was a "Romeo and Juliet" thing like what you described.
At this point, this person managed to get little or no time in custody, but of course he was subject to probation. His mom gets worried he's smoking dope again, so she asks his probation officer to pay a visit. Brilliant. PO pops in and starts playing DVDs from his collection. Game over. Illegal pornography.
That guy seems to have had bad attorneys, and an even worse mom, but what's interesting to me is that until that fateful visit by his PO, he could still sort of hold himself out as a decent guy who had just fallen on hard times.
Just goes to show that people generally are what their criminal records says they are. People don't become felons by accident.
