SF maybe 5% black
Also I’d argue the children in the Asian kids come from just as affluent families as the white kids

One of the larger components of success.

Wonder how much it ties in with this? Considerably is my guess

Are parents considered a resource
Chronically absent is a very telling metric. And yes that begins with parents.
Single parent households are the bacteria that is rotting these cities.

I've always said that we overlook the travesties that Asians went through in most recent memory (WW2 incarceration camps) and yet they are the least violent and most successful minority group.
They all look alike, huh.

Asians consistently have: The highest number of 2 parent households Put the greatest emphasis on education Immigrants typically have this, and African immigrants for example have high success rates consistently. If any other group put greater emphasis on those two things as a whole, they would be more successful.
It’s all of this.
Culture matters. Some are better than others. Some are detrimental to the well-being of its members.

I expected more than 6% black.
The most left wing, white fragility states typically don’t actually have black people in them.

The mistake is in assuming that intelligence/success is the measure of a person.

I thought the black people lived in Oakland

Not on this board. We don't even know the difference between verbs and adjectives (dominate/dominant) much less subjects and objects (I/me).

Am I right in understanding that this doesn't include county schools? Are San Francisco county schools the same as they are where I come from?

I'm guessing that's the gift from President Bush: No Child Left Behind.

I just want to know how this is white peoples fault?

Another issue is we continue to use what percentage of graduates are ready for college, and what percentage go to college as the sole criteria for evaluating high school education. There needs to be vocational pathways provided for those with no interest in going to college which is s large percentage.

Unless of course they are being "socially promoted" which is at epidemic proportions these days.

in the Bay Area, many Asian students are first or second generation with parents who don’t speak English well
