Houma had one like that. Didn’t have all that extra stuff but it had the indoor pool.
I lived there for several weeks while my parents when through a shitty divorce and my mom sold her house and hadn’t found a new place yet.

Covington had a small one, but it had the indoor/outdoor pool that was awesome in the 80s.
Used to go to birthday parties and stuff there.

Was the Lafayette one around circa 2000?
Remember the families that wanted to show off on my travel soccer team would stay there over weekend for tournaments whereas the poors had to drive back and forth every day from NO. Fun times playing soccer and goofing around with the indoor pool.

Pretty sure I stayed at it about 30 years ago for a soccer tournament.
Definitely. I stayed at it several times for the same reason. It had an indoor outdoor pool, hot tub, bumper pool, etc.

I’ve been able to pretty well gauge as to whether people of around my age who grew up in the Southeast came from the same general social circles as me, by whether or not their families ever vacationed at the Navarre Holidome.

Monroe Holidome was the site of our Prom parties. 17 year olds with access to pools, alcohol, hot tubs, and hotel rooms
What could go right?

Mom and Dad got into a huge fight one afternoon. Mom took me and left the house then went to the bank and got 10 rolls of quarters.. We went to the one in Kenner and check in. Once we get in the room mom gives me a roll of quarters and tells me to go have fun. I was in heaven. When I would return for another roll. She was there at the table puffing on cigarettes and by the phone. She must have been anxious as hell. Meanwhile I was having the time of my life.
Did mom have a visitor to her hotel room?

We used to have one of those in my hometown. Used to ride our bikes there in the summertime and use their pool.

I stayed in one in Hutchinson Kansas thought it was a nice place back in the early 80's.
They had Rampage arcade game. Wore that thing out. Had a buddy jump off the balcony into the pool.
