It wasn’t my job . I just know a guy that’s on a paint crew and he said they started him around 10$ an hour . Less than 12$ for sure. The job I got In Colorado promised to start me at over 24$ an hour maybe even 25

Cost of living is more up there though , I’m pretty sure.

My friend says the amount of homeless in downtown denver will be a shock to my system comPared to Shreveport. He used to live in shreveport too.

My friend said that he was driving down the interstate , going through the warehouse district and looked over and saw a big group of homeless men , with beards, wearing dresses and makeup with sign saying , “ pleases donate for sex change operations and medication “

At least you have something to do if the painting thing didn’t work out

Painting for $25 an hour in Colorado next to $10 an hour in LA (not sure how that’s possible) will feel like the biggest upgrade you have ever experienced in life.

You don’t do any work on vacation????

I’m forced to work one of my vacations every year. We have a presidents club award for sales and I make it very year and it’s on my anniversary every year This year my wife and I celebrate 15 years and we will be in the Bahamas for PC. What sucks is all the president club reps get to sleep in and party but the top 3% of reps that PC make diamond and you have to be at a 8:00 am breakfast Saturday morning and it typically involves some sort of activity. We all have a dinner to go to but there’s usually a presentation before and last year it was the ESG bullshite.

For some reason everyone else in my traveling family wants shite planned down to the minute everyday. FFS just go and relax wherever we are people, I’ll cook some steaks we can drink everything will be great. Either in the mountains, lake, river, beach, this applies to all scenarios.

Your steaks might not be that good, hoss

But the afternoon/night before you leave is awesome. Everything packed, leaving at 8:30 for airport. No work for the next 7 days. Excitement. Relaxation. It is one of my favorite days of the year. The day before vacation.

Imagine if you were a social media influencer. You would live that life every day now. What a time to be alive.

The night before vacations is usually chaos in our house. The wife and daughter are major procrastinators on packing.

I must be doing it wrong. It’s always stressful fighting with my wife and living much later than we planned.

The night before vacation I am usually in freak the F out mode. Is there enough cat food/litter for the pet sitter? What’s the AC on? Is the pool chemistry correct? Are they gonna lose our luggage? Delays? Weather? Uber? Is my AC thermostat gonna shite itself this week? Is there gonna be a complete drought and all my plants going to die? Is the trash out? Pantry cleaned out so onions or potatoes don’t smell when we return? Dishwasher open? The list goes on and on bc I am the wife and my husband simply doesn’t gaf.

When I was a kid we came home from vacation to find out lightning had struck our central AC unit and it was 91 degrees in the house.

I hate it. I am pretty much packed 2 days before and my wife starts packing at 11:00pm and is up until 3:00am organizing her luggage with shite that has been stacked in random piles in our bedroom for days prior.

We leave for a week at the beach Saturday. Our normal house/dog/cat/chicken sitter is unavailable. We just found that out this week. It's pure panic here.

Got the cats and dog's squared away for boarding at the low cost of 900 for the week.

Now I have to find someone to come check on chickens.
