It’s not just commercials though. We’ve been getting a very steady diet of indoctrination since I was a kid in the 70’s with white male characters on TV and in the movies. It’s just gotten that much more in your face.

And why are they always wearing an unbuttoned, thin flannel shirt over a regular t shirt? Every.single.time. I've never dressed like that in my life.

The stupid white guy role on commercials

White guys are the only group who won't riot and scream at the sky because they are represented accurately.

Every time a commercial has a White burglar or criminal, EVERYONE knows who is being represented...

If there wasn’t a stupid white guy job in commercials the only commercial job for white guys would be making out with a dude on the burger commercial

Dominos has contriubted the latest commercial to the all-knowing black woman scoffing at silly white people craze in advertising.

When will DEI ever eliminate the need for the stupid white guy role in every TV commercial?

Its been this way for a long time on commercials and sitcoms. Usually the white guy is the weak or stupid character behind some woman. Even the kids usually talk down to the white guy.

Yep, if someone in a commercial has to be stupid it's always the white guy. Glad to see I'm not the only one that noticed that.

Its not just commercials either. It is in sitcoms and movies too. Shows that portray a family's life, like "Young Sheldon" for example. The dad and Sheldon's brother are portrayed as just goofy and out of touch. My kids watch the cartoon "The Loud House". Lincoln is the main character and most of the time he is just silly and stupid and one of his million sisters has to solve his problem for him. His sisters or his black neighbor friend.

Just watch nothing but commercials on TV.

The white guy is almost always the fool or the one getting schooled on some dumb issue for whatever they're selling. If he's not the idiot, he's the effeminate male as the beta.

Even in the movies, if there is a white guy star, he has to be corrected by the female or black male authority figure.

I can’t believe y’all get upset about how some random white guys are depicted in television commercials. Do you really think these commercials impact the way you are viewed by your co-workers, friends and the public? I see them as completely f**cking irrelevant.

WELL, there are obviously many decision makers out there in corporate America that think the depiction is important enough for it to be so damn pervasive, and that motivation should be a concern for any thinking person.

Begs the question, when the white race is bread out of existence, who will they use next as the dumb person role?

I think it's Amazon that has the frail guy who is the stay at home dad while the wife is out working and then she comes home and gives him the "look" and he goes trailing behind her to get some booty. Part of me thinks he's got it made, but it's obvious the intent

The first role of this sort that I saw was on The Jeffersons. That old white goofy neighbor guy, Tom Willis, who was married to the black woman.
In addition, after seeing so many mixed race couples on commercials, you would think that it’s most of the population!!! It’s about normalizing.

Look at sitcoms going back decades. The man was always made to look ridiculous. It's an infuriating thing that is a staple of mainstream "entertainment". Bumbling husband, smart-arse wife, disrespectful children.
