Tylenol has never been a safe drug
that whole episode was moronic

Pre two days ago
“Recommendation is to consult a doctor before taking Tylenol while pregnant”
New recommendation
“Consult a doctor before taking Tylenol while pregnant. No causation association can be formed with autism but it’s safe to consult a doctor before taking”
Yet, trumps words were “DO NOT TAKE IT” and Cuba shite
It was a childish grand standing moment that did nothing but create controversy for no reason

Agreed. The researchers on the Harvard paper made the correct suggestion.
The truth usually is in the middle. The researchers noted that while steps should be taken to limit acetaminophen use, the drug is important for treating pain and fever during pregnancy, which can also harm the developing fetus. High fever can raise the risk of neural tube defects and preterm birth. “We recommend judicious acetaminophen use—lowest effective dose, shortest duration—under medical guidance, tailored to individual risk-benefit assessments, rather than a broad limitation,” they wrote.

Of course it is safe

Did you know acetaminophen overdose is the leading cause of acute liver failure in the United States
the dose makes the poison is very basic toxicology

It is a safe drug. But like anything if you take too much of it, you're going to have issues. Just like you shouldn't drink while taking Tylenol because of how it's filtered through your body. And it's definitely safer than NSAIDs for pregnant women when take at the appropriate dosage.
It's madness that we've reached a point of the post-COVID pendulum swing that Tylenol is now supposedly not safe.

Completely agree. Scientists have been looking at this link for years. Just Google if y'all don't believe me. POTUS didn't just wake up one day and decide to go after big Tylenol.

Of course you are… tons of “healthy” people do not go to the doctor.
Hard to get diagnosed with anything of you never go to the doctor,
Logic

So Trump was just agreeing with them.

Well you just kinda contradicted yourself, because he kinda did
As you stated, these studies have been around for quite a while. The data is not new.
So why did Trump suddenly decide that this was such a big announcement? Despite no new evidence and the evidence that we do have being incomplete, at best.

This is prudent, well-written and very specific.
"Do NOT take Tylenol, if you take Tylenol you will GET AUTISM and LIVER FAILURE" is not

Love how the left is unhinged over many well done studies merely questioning the safety of Tylenol in pregnancy that predated this current administration but had absolutely no issues with the Biden admin trying to outlaw a gas stove. Make it make sense.

My guess is this press release last month from Mt. Sinai.
Press Release: Mt. Sinai Study Supports Evidence That Prenatal Acetaminophen Use May Be Linked to Increased Risk of Autism and ADHD.
I realize I'm contradicting myself, but it seems like a meta-analysis of previous studies determined at least a link worth taking seriously. Now, does our POTUS love to exaggerate? Um, bigly.

Found this one down in the comments….
If that’s true and Tylenol said in 2019 they’ve not tested their drug to be used during pregnancy, I have to ask what everyone who’s categorically stating Tylenol is safe during pregnancy is basing their assertion on?

I still play sports, eat healthy, and have weighed about the same for 25 years. In the last 18 months I’ve hiked in the Andes mountains, spent 4 days hiking deep in a Colombian jungle, and kayaked 40 miles through a remote canyon in Mexico. I play basketball 2-3x weekly in leagues and swim laps. Tough to believe I’d be doing all that with some hidden killer issue.

Many disease processes have very vague symptoms in the beginning. Also, some forms of cancer are very insidious and symptoms often do not present themselves until the advanced stages.
This is why preventative medicine is key.
