Jesus said that only the Father knows the day and hour.

Dude, people have "believed" that they are living in the Biblical end of days since the very creation of the concept of the end of days. It may be a belief but there is nothing to legitimate the belief. That's always been the case. Sorry you have difficulty understanding words.
Following your logic, no religious beliefs would be "legitimate."

True, the guy that made the prediction did say 23-24th

I'm ready whenever. My schedule has been cleared.

I'm saying he legitimately believes it in that it's a genuinely held belief, not just a troll to pull our legs.
Christmas was nearly ruined a couple years ago because him and my uncle (his son) got into it after my uncle tried to talk to him about forming a plan for what happens after he dies. He's and old farmer and has had several brushes with near death recently (4 wheeler rolled on him, car wrecks, falls, etc). Baw almost kicked his own son out of the house during christmas over it.

There will be no rapture today, but for about 150,000 people across the world, today will be their last day on earth. Will they be ready to meet the Lord?

Sorry you are so confused. Religious beliefs are legitimate. Believing that you, as a person, have the power and insight to accurately predict the rapture is not. There’s a wide gulf between these things. A belief by a person that he can read God’s mind and predict divine events is not a legitimate belief. Sorry.

Low hanging fruit. So what do you do when it doesn’t happen? Put on your white Nikes and take yourselves out? “Believing” doesn’t make you a good person by the way. If it did, you wouldn’t still be donating to all those catholic priests raping those little boys to get them moved to a new area to continue their wretched crimes

So who decides which religious beliefs are legit? You? And for which religions?
It just seems awfully bold of you to decide you know which beliefs are legitimate

Someone may want to let the deranged posters in the OT know that

Imagine believing in nothing, though.
Just imagine that...
I'm Catholic so bugshit fundamentalist rapture nonsense does not concern me.
Have a good day.

there was another end-of-days prediction back in the late 80s that got some traction:
88 Reasons
i had forgotten the guy who predicted it was a former NASA scientist
my favorite response to that was from an irreligious friend of mine - he said, “i think we should all consider the possibility that it actually happened, and the reason it went unnoticed is because nobody on earth made the cut”

mocking someone who believes in god is wrong... mocking someone who actually believes the rapture is happening today is fair game.
