Was several days while in Ranger School. I can recall a RI coming to my prone position, taking my rifle while it was shouldered, and I watched him do it and I was helpless to resist. Was a combination of sleep & food deprivation but built character & leadership…

I managed to hang on for 16 hours without sleep one time. I don’t know how I made it, but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!

I’ve gone three nights straight without sleeping more than a few times.

Meth is a heck of a drug.

Damn that’s some serious sleep deprivation. What were those days following that 6-7 day period like? I don’t think I have a condition since my episodes are much shorter in duration, but it’s still a challenge to get back into a normal sleep schedule. Might have to go to a doctor for a check up or consult with a sleep specialist if it continues at this rate or gets worse after this attempt at a reset.

Around 60 hours but from the 10th grade until about October after I graduated high school I did not sleep more than 2-3 hours a day and often it’d be 40 hours or so between those couple of hours. It was unpleasant. 7 years ago I worked 3800+ hours in exactly 12 months to the day from one contract to the next. I knew going in it was going to be a lot and knew I had 12 months of it in me and not a minute more. The signing bonus was too good to refuse though. I was also commuting an hour each way during that year. It was not pleasant. I slept about 4 hours a day.

44 hours and barely noticed. I was tired but not more so than I’ve been before.

I used to go over 40 quite often. I would work Friday night, spend the day at my daughter’s softball tournament Saturday and work again Saturday night 12 hours. Not sure I could do that anymore. Makes an old man out of you quick.

Be careful with that. If you start pushing 60 or so hours, you can become delusional, manic, and/or have hallucinations. Psychosis is not a good thing. If that happens, the symptoms just don’t go away with a good night’s sleep.

Between being ex-military and oilfield liner hanger & MWD hand I’m pretty sure I’ve done 48 hours a few times.

Right about 60 hours. Was working for a coiled tubing company and the injector decided to implode and the mechanic I sent out to fix it just decided it was a good time to become a methhead so I had to go out and help rebuild that goddamn thing with pipe in the well.

4.5 days for me in Ranger School. When I got off my graded patrol in Florida Phase I turned to my buddy Mike and said, "Dude, I've been up for over 4 days. I'm afraid I'm about to crash. If you make sure I get to the patrol base I'll do everything I can to make sure you pass your patrol."

Mike got be to the patrol base, but not without me hallucinating and talking to trees. Pretty wild time.

Very easy to believe! I recall I kept seeing something out of the corner of my eye while it was raining, I thought maybe a mongoose, or varmint. Well I rolled over to it, knife in hand, stabbing & slicing the whole time. Then I realized it was a cypress root. Was during the Swamp Phase @ Eglin…
