That is the completely wrong way to handle it. If she (or her husband) are not comfortable going on the trip , SHE is the one that shouldn’t go, not you.
This mentality of “I’ll only do this if everyone caters to me” is insufferable.
And the fact that she cannot be trusted away from home speaks volumes about their relationship

I don’t find her attractive at all, mostly because of her personality. She’s not ugly, but kinda homely. She will likely eat at Chili’s every night on this trip.
Nothing against Chili’s, of course. It has its place, but not while in Chicago.
