I like to flip/punch a lot and are wondering if dual power poles are worth the money?

Just wondering if this is comparable to tractors with front buckets, once you have it, you’ll never not own a tractor (or boat in this case) without one.

I think so.
I don't have a power pole, but every time I fish on a boat with a power pole, I can't believe I've made it this long without one (or a pair).

Power poles are definitely worth it. I have them on mine and I love them. My friend, when he gets on my boat says he doesn't know why he hasn't bought some for his yet

Yes.

Spot lock will have you facing every direction under the sun. Have 1 Talon and spot lock. If you don’t have spot lock, get 2 poles. Power poles and Talons are pretty much the same if you ask me.

They’re worth it, unless you spend the majority of your time in deep water.

My ‘08 Skeeter ZX200 had none, ended up putting 1. In heavy wind, it was a chore to keep it from “spinning”. Traded it for ‘15 ZX225 with 2 poles, worked great in shallow water, was solid in the wind…

I fish mostly fish the marsh, they are a game changer in shallow water. It allows you to sit and cover an area without spooking the fish by constantly hitting the trolling motor. Can be a pita for whoever is fishing the back when not in use.

I've noticed that most of the inshore guys have only one power pole vs the bass guys with 2. Any reason for this? With dealing with more current inshore, I would think two is a necessity.

I love them in shallow water but I typically fish deeper.

I use mine when I pull-up to the landing to get my truck more than I use them fishing…

Friend’s bay boat has one, his glitter boat with the hot foot 2, so I get where you’re coming from. But we fish the same waters out of both and 2 would be my preference. But in bay boat I usually use a Cajun anchor off the side to accomplish the same thing.

They are cool and all but for the money a cajun anchor works just fine.

It just all depends on what you’re doing and how much you fish. The convenience of pushing a button makes the price tag worth it to me. They’re easy to install and have excellent customer service.

PPs and Raptors are not worth it. Period. And I have a set of Raptors on my boat.

Do not get one! It’s a pivot point. I like to pitch and flip too and go slow usually against the wind or current if possible. Definitely worth getting 2.

Absolutely get 2. Doesn't matter how fast it what direction wind is blowing you can setup on a spot and milk it by tapping your foot on a button.

Also is great for docking. No need for a rope or worrying about hitting dock

I stay in deep water, and only crappie fish. I have the drift paddles on my power poles. They save the day when it’s windy.

Come on OB. Was that really worth a down vote?

Really?

I said nothing negative about power poles and stated what works for me.
