Zero chance they handle this. They will hire one of the most prestigious firms in Florida to litigate this one.

Wouldn’t it not be Disney suing, but Reedy Creek suing by way of protecting Disney’s interest?

I can't imagine the legal basis to challenge this. A benefit was conveyed to Disney by the elected representatives of the citizens of Florida and was dissolved by the the elected representatives of the citizens of Florida. Does Disney have a right to the RCID? I don't think so. This is how it's supposed to work.

I've enjoyed watching all major news networks cover this story and for the past 2 days watching CBS and CNN somehow get top billing on Google News.

Every major story is quick to state that that Disney is going fight, that Florida will have to pay $1 Billion in taxes, blah, blah, blah.

What I don't see in ANY major report is what we discovered during the publicity raised while the bill was in the works - Disney made certain promises for a new city development (what EPCOT became) but failed to build.

So Reedy Creek was passed. Disney promised one, delivered another. This will be popcorn time.

Yeah, it’s not a criminal case it’s civil and it’s state law not federal. They are either in orange or Osceola counties or perhaps Leon county in Tally it, no the other ain’t happening

ETA: no standing right now until the reapply and get denied.

Nope, not in their wheelhouse

On a side note, John went dark after DeSantis partnered with him on legal weed and stopped openly campaigning for democrats. Also after Gillum sucked him out of a million.

Problem is ..... the amateurs I've encountered in their legal offices will get creamed in Federal Court. They'll scream not have the case heard in Orlando. You cannot seat a neutral jury in Orlando. The population hates them.

Why would this case even go to federal court? What’s the federal question here?

Disney is about to waste millions in legal fees against a battle they have already lost. The Florida governor knew EXACTLY how this would end long before the fight began, just ask the city of Key West

What will be their case? There is no argument that could even be considered. Disney FAFO and now they are paying for it big time.

The only argument they may have is that this legislation was directed at them and was done in a retaliation.

The simplest response to that argument is the special status was conveyed to Disney for the public good. Now that Disney is packed with groomers it has been determined they no longer act in the interest of public good and it was therefore revoked.
