Idk, I worked remote this past snowmageddon. 7 and 8 year old were out of school. Get up and get them a snack once in a while or help with a math problem. I don't see the issue.

Huge difference in a major one off and daily not working because you are also taking care of your children.

Just get over it and work somewhere else. The grave train is over.

I'd trade my situation (kidney failure) for hers (leaving the house to go to a job) any day of the week. This shite would have her crying harder than having to physically be at work.

Some agencies had telework before Covid. When Covid hit it went to telework and wfh. Once Covid was over it should have went back how it was. A report was done in the government for the incoming admin. In that report, only 1 agency was deemed to have ways to measure the effectiveness of there telework program. It isn’t a coincidence that this agency had telework in place before Covid. So a tight program and guidelines were in place.

Trump is her boss and she disparages him by calling him “Cheeto”

Anything you complain about in your workplace that follows calling your boss names is irrelevant.

Every telework arrangement I’ve ever heard of specifically stated that you were not to view telework as the opportunity to take care of your kids while you are supposed to be working. In fact, at my former employer, you had to sign a statement acknowledging that fact.

That's the rule in FedGov as well. We are required to acknowledge that "telework is NOT a substitute for childcare" in our agreements.

There is no way he could have gotten away with not working in this position. And since they have yet to find a decent replacement he was offered more money to come back (he denied the offer) then offered a WFH deal which he denied again. The department is suffering and I am happy to see it.

This clown is still melting about WFH being unethical. Yet claims to be an ER nurse and makes 50 posts per day on Tiger Droppings.

He’s Eric Daughtery on Twitter. That’s the only reason he is here.

We got some idiots who make any excuse to WFH at my office. One day it’s car/sick/somebody else sick. I know they are playing video games or watching porn. Their work or sales numbers show it.
