Lol. Did you hear this from Joy Reid? It's always those damn wypipo's fault.

Sorry, but having fewer babies does not give politicians the authority to flood the country with third-world ingrates, most of whom live on welfare. That's as retarded as getting caught stealing from your boss and trying to say it is his fault for not paying you more.

FIFY, but yes that is part of it.

“Needs”. I don’t think so.

What they need is to rediscover who they are.

They've regulated themselves into a death spiral. They did it to themselves.

Simpler solution would seem to be tax incentives for people with means to have more kids

But dont incentivize it for poor people like we do here

In this case it is.

Who stopped breeding? Who let immigrants in?

When the world’s economies crash, it will set the stage for the advent of the anti-Christ who will provide a sollution and temporary peace and ease. For a price of course.

We don’t need constant population growth.

I don't disagree. We could use fewer people. We just have to find a way to keep PER CAPITA GDP up even though total GDP will decline due to the declining population. Unfortunately, Western entitlement programs are predicated on an ever-expanding population. Getting through the decline and weaning populations off of government largesse is something that I doubt we have the political stomach for.

The only way to do that is advanced tech, which replaces human labor for the most part.

And lots of exports. Trade wars prevent that.

Well at least their military is almost non existent so we wont have to worry about them taking over Europe for the third time.

I never understood this strategy by Germany and for any 1st world nation. The strategy should have been about talent. They should have recruited (from the US mostly) German descendants and allowed them to apply for dual citizenship and provided financial incentives to live and work there (College is tuition free).

The quickest and easiest way to improve a business, sports team, etc ., is to steal the other guy's talent.

According to the United States Census Bureau's figures from 2022, German Americans make up roughly 41 million people in the US, which is approximately 12% of the population

A huge problem with a country not allowed to analyze WWII is that they aren’t able to be honest about logistical problems related to it.

Germany has coal but no oil or other feasible energy sources, which is why the failed Russian invasion happened.

Getting away from coal and not going with nuclear has fricked them hard.

When you sell your country out for cheap foreign energy, cheap foreign manufacturing, cheap foreign goods in every direction while importing the world's poverty, it's only a matter of time before you fail.

I hope we are taking a lesson that upward trending stock ticker is not the same as a healthy national economy.

One of their greatest assets was the productivity of their labor force;

Could we further define that as the Productivity of the WEST German labor force. East Germans had missed that for several generations. Merkle was and is East German to the core, in the worst way.

They diluted their strength when they reunited.

In terms of natural gas, the Norwegians replaced the Russian and have covered that end.

Germany has some major economic headwinds in its face. The Germans are not having children and as such are importing a new compliment of their population. The country is getting old.
