I got unsolicited texts from Greasy Gavin for a while, asking for funds.
I responded that I don’t support marxists and reported the spam. No more texts.

I’ve never voted democrat in my life and I get texts and emails from democrats asking for money and begging to believe in their causes

You get these from the Dems because your information has been used to register innumerable homeless Democrat voters who are unable to obtain proper identification.
On the other hand - I, like you, have never voted for a Dem in my life. I made the mistake of giving my address, phone number, and email to the local Republican Party here in west Georgia. This has obviously been passed on to whatever fundraising company is employed by the GOP and I have been inundated with calls, emails, and text messages claiming some disaster or the other is going to occur unless I send money.
SCREW 'EM ALL in this regard. I make it a point every year to used a very large black marker to check the box on my tax return that I DO NOT WANT ONE DOLLAR OF MY TAXES TO GO TO THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE ELECTION OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!
These people have absolutely NO SHAME!

Seems like you have three options:
1) send some money
2) choose to NOT send some money
3) come to a message board and complain that you got a text or email from a politician asking for a donation, because you are the first person this has ever happened to.

If you have ever given anyone your email address or phone number, it has been sold over and over and over again. Even snail mail addresses are sold. My wife ordered a DVD about 20 years ago and our address was sold to every fringe group, far right to far left known to man, or so it seemed.
