Deep down you know he’s right, that’s why you felt the need to respond.

I’ll give him credit though. He’s been a commie since the early 90s. He didn’t turn into one when it became trendy in Democrat circles in the last 10-15 years.

I totally forgot about that. What a giant fricking hypocrit.

Man, I’m so disappointed. I was really excited for upcoming tour since I’ve never seen them and I love their music.

Really takes some of the luster off.

That's true. Those commies have been consistent the entire time. When I was younger I loved that they didn't pick a side. They roasted both sides of the aisle with their music. I didn't agree with their politics of course, but I did agree that our system was shite. So I liked that they would play shows at both the RNC and DNC conventions and talk shite the entire time.

They frickin lost me forever with the COVID bullshite though.

RATM at least has called out Bill Clinton and protested the DNC convention. Of course that was 20 years ago.

Do they sell merch at those shows, or give their stuff away to anyone who wants it ?

Self-avowed socialist Roger Waters asks $80 for t-shirts at his shows.

The one common trait between those at the top of a power structure in a capitalist nation or a socialist/communist nation is all those at the top want to be fabulously wealthy. As a matter of fact I can't remember who I heard speaking on this subject, might have been Dinesh D'Souza, Royce White or Victor Davis Hansen who said if the US morphed into a socialist/communist nation most of the people currently in power would still be in power after the switcheroo. Just like when the Soviet Union fell, many of the Communist ruling class elites became the Russian Oligarchs.

People need to understand, the purpose of political and economic systems is to placate and control the masses. If the system is run justly I choose Capitalism because a person can exercise their talents and agency to make a better life for themselves and their family.

But as for hypocrisy that’s a short list of folks mentioned in the header. So many of these leftists have NO problem with high levels of security, gates, fences, walls…it’s always fine with them if it’s someone else paying the price for their bassackward politics.

Folks like Rage Against The Machine WAS the machine when Biden was in office and they were more than happy to push vaccines and crap on others. Screw them. And the fact that they did all this and then try to act like we aren’t supposed to notice years of flaming nuclear level duplicity on their part and others of their ilk. Just goes to show how little they respect their leftist followers’ mental acuity…here’s the kicker…they’re correct in their assessment.

Right. Which is why I have to give Ilhan Omar some props. When called out as a serial criminal and fraudster what does she do? She takes to the media and calls all Americans fricking idiots. Guess what? She's frickin right.

Don’t forget that they’re some of the biggest tax cheats in the country also

Eddie Vedder (whose music I generally love) spent the majority of the 90s embattled again ticket prices, saying that his fans were only paying more than necessary to enrich some wealthy people in suits with yachts. And he was right.

Fast forward to PJ's most recent tour, and it was over $400 for a single seat in the nosebleeds with an obstructed view of the stage- and he was completely silent.

Eddie Vedder
He is a total bullshitter.

The Cure frontman Robert Smith has criticized artists who blame ticketing sites for fans experiencing high prices. Last year, Smith hit out at Ticketmaster after The Cure fans reported huge fees that doubled prices to see the English rock band on their Lost World tour. The singer eventually managed to negotiate a partial refund for customers. “It was easy to set ticket prices, but you need to be pig-headed. We didn’t allow dynamic pricing because it’s a scam that would disappear if every artist said, ‘I don’t want that!’ But most artists hide behind management. ‘Oh, we didn’t know,’ they say. They all know. If they say they do not, they’re either f***ing stupid or lying. It’s just driven by greed.”
“But if you had the self-belief that you’re still going to be here in a year’s time, you’d want the show to be great so people come back. You don’t want to charge as much as the market will let you. If people save on the tickets, they buy beer or merch. There is goodwill, they will come back next time. It is a self-fulfilling good vibe and I don’t understand why more people don’t do it,” he said

$25 dollar tickets at the top, and resales for no more than face value. All t-shirts $25. It can be done.
