re: It has been revealed that Lutnick lied about his previous associations with Epstein.

Being in the files - hell, being in the same room - is not the same thing as being guilty. Do you not understand what the justice process looks like?
Dude went with his whole family for lunch. That's a bold motherfricker who's going to take his family to the USVI, take them WITH HIM to the private island of a known financier/player in that sphere, and then just happen to sex up some underage girls while no one's looking.
Are there witness allegations against Lutnick? Victims who have identified him as an abuser?
Let the process play out. The whole thing behind a honeypot op is the leverage, even when it's just implied or guilt by association.

Everyone who is anyone hung out with Epstein at one point or another. Not all of them partook in whatever JE had going on.
This "one democrat" preaching that Lutnick is tainted oughta turn over the Slush Fund names of who in each house has had to settle sex claims on OUR dime.

Lutnick didn’t break any laws, but he was foolish about how he handled questions on Epstein. In past interviews he went out of his way to boast he didn’t really know Epstein, and thought he was strange. I’m a Lutnick fan, but it is a bad look. He should have had a much more measured response considering their history. Guess he couldn’t help himself.

I would say traveling to the private island to spend time with someone that you admit to have known at the time was a child sex trafficker is problematic enough even if nothing illicit happened.

I'm tired of this phrase too. You know who doesn't give a fluff about terrible optics? Democrats.

Democrats have been trying to find and use any opportunity to get Trump cabinet positions to resign since he was elected. They have failed in all of them

It’s frustrating how people pontificate on crap like this without even bothering to understand the fundamental issue or question.
His actual involvement with Epstein is not the problem. It’s that he told Congress he broke off all contact and never spoke to Epstein after a certain date, then the new release shows that to be untrue.
Now, if you want to say that’s OK, don’t get all high and mighty when Dems lie under oath.
I think he has to go. The falsehood is pretty clear, and there are more than enough real fires to deal with.

know this is unpopular opinion but Lutnick needs to resign. He's going to be a MAJOR pain in the arse for Trump going forward.
No way, a dude with the last name of Lutnick lied.

Funny...
I seem to recall Dems being radio fricking silent about a certain Dem Rep that was receiving texts FROM EPSTEIN while she was questioning Trump administration officials in a committee hearing.
And lets not forget Temu Obama's fundraising solicitation TO EPSTEIN after he had been convicted of his sex offenses.
Crickets.

Now do democrats.
Oh wait, no one cares.
It’s the same as saying Trump is protecting pedophiles while not mentioning the Biden or Obama admin having this info and doing nothing.

It won't just go away. But we no longer live in a world in which apology or quiet resignation resolves anything. Quite the contrary. Today's reality is apology or resignation is regarded as a guilty plea and an opening for further more incendiary attacks. So Lutnick's resignation, if he is not guilty of a crime (or perhaps not even guilty of bad judgement), will not make it go away.

So let's not forget about it.

Don't care what one democrat said.
We had these problems among our leaders:
1. Corruption
2. Sexual deviancy
3. Profligate spending
We were supposed to be electing an administration that would fight these things. Sure, I’d rather this administration over the Kamala one, but it’s the difference between a rapid descent and a slow and steady descent. I wish we could get out of the descent.

Yes please. Anyone associated should step down.

actually agree with this, however I doubt this standard will be applied to people who are caught in the crossfire of guilt by association. But we don’t live in that world. We live in a world where association with Epstein is indicative something nefarious, because why on earth would anyone associate with him at all
Lutnick claimed that in 2005 he knew Epstein was a terrible person upon first meeting him then after Epstein was busted diddling kids, lutnick took his kids and friends kids to Epstein’s private island
There is absolutely no way that you don’t find out that your next door neighbor got bust diddling kids
shite my next door neighbor knows shite about me before it happens to me

It was stupidly to meet with Epstein AFTER he was already convicted.
It was stupid to lie about it.
Nobody assumes Lutnick is a pedophile.
But everyone now knows he only tells the truth when he is forced to under oath.
So he’s a liability.
On reaching this point of this thread, I am reminded of NT writings where a certain Good Man was accused of hanging out with "unsuitables" of that day. I don't know what his reasons were in meeting with E, so I choose not to condemn his actions. One explanation could be that, like DJT, he was attempting to learn more about this man. In either event, I ignore the media hype. That's what they do by the minute.

I don’t give a shite. As long as he is doing the job he was appointed to do. You won’t be happy until the whole cabinet is impeached, indicted or resigns, so go cheer for the blue team.

Normal people freak out when people on the sex registry list move into your neighborhood. That's a natural reaction for people that are morally oriented toward the good. I understand that forgiveness is in order for possible redemption however caution and a jaundiced eye is also in order.
