When I'd drive home to Jax from Gainesville for Winter Break or back to UF afterwards the amount of New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, etc., license plates I'd always see was infuriating.

Does anybody realize that he is proposing raising state taxes to pay for “city” busses. Do you think everyone in the state gives a shite about funding busses in NYC only?

I've never been outside of Manhatten outside of along the rivers, do many NYC residents even take buses? Manhatten is mostly subway is it not? The buses run east west but that's walkable.

No, you wanna know why?
Those city buses are snarled in Manhattan’s traffic just like everyone else. They’re not inherently dangerous like the subway can be, dependent upon which line you’re taking, but notoriously slow. Make take you a 1/2 hour - 45 minutes by bus as opposed to 10 minutes by subway.
