Let’s be honest - if the US pulled the military out of the Old West and left citizens to fend for themselves, the Indians (Guardians?) would have done the exact thing the Taliban is doing today.

Dear Lord I’m so sorry.

Does he work for the state department or military?? Why was he there?

He has dual citizenship, and was in the Afghan diplomatic corps.

Returned to Kabul to help rebuild the country.

And yeah, agreed. What the hell was he thinking...this was a long time coming and he should've left some time ago.

Well thanks for helping him — I’m sure he appreciates it.

Please keep us updated if you’re able.

God this is horrible.

Have you not seen the guys Biden has running the military and DHS? I'm being told I may be forced to vaccinate before I leave my State. Meanwhile, 100's of thousands of COVID-infected illegals are pouring across the southern border and being dropped off in cities all over the country. The military leadership pushing CRT and gender-fluidity, all the while declaring the ranks are filled with potential domestic terrorists.

This is Biden's America.

I wonder exactly what it was that happened, that made these shithole countries start slapping their dicks across the face of the USA again? Seriously, I adamantly swear to you that I remember just going through a period of several years where America was not punked...

It isn't hard to shut down an airport, that's all the Taliban have to do. 2 guys and a mortar tube can accomplish it from miles away.

The smallest mortar we use, 60mm, has a range of over 2 miles. That makes for a really big perimeter we would have to establish just to protect against those.

You are ignorant if this is your real opinion.
IDF doesn’t shut down an airfield.

It can if they can throw shells at the runway while planes are trying to take off.

And while a 60mm wouldn't really damage the runway, I bet some of the Afghan army's 122MM D-30's would put dents in it.

Are you kidding?
Is water wet?

OF COURSE THEY ARE BLAMING TRUMP!
quote:

Biden released a statement Saturday appearing to blame the former administration for leaving the Taliban "in the strongest position militarily since 2001."

“When I came to office, I inherited a deal cut by my predecessor—which he invited the Taliban to discuss at Camp David on the eve of 9/11 of 2019—that left the Taliban in the strongest position militarily since 2001 and imposed a May 1, 2021 deadline on US forces. Shortly before he left office, he also drew US forces down to a bare minimum of 2,500,” Biden stated.

Biden said Trump’s policies gave him no choice but to either send more troops “to fight once again in another country’s civil conflict” or get the troops and allies out of the country.

As a female, that’s my thought as well. Not all there are good (like here in America) but I’m sure that there are hardworking people just like us here. Those are the ones my heart hurts for.

Yeah, I’d probably just be killed. My wife and kids though, yeah I’m just heartbroken for these people. They had a taste of freedom and it’s just gone.

Planes scramble to take off at that point.

Let’s not act like a single airfield we had in Iraq or Afghanistan were never hit with IDF. You don’t need a “2 mile perimeter “ or any of that nonsense to have an operational airfield. You may not be able to stage fighters there like before but you can def get in and get out.
