I can remember getting ready to board a plane and they found a knife on me. I had completely forgotten about the knife and could have been in huge trouble.

Thank God the proper decision was made. But I do miss that knife!

first of all I wouldn’t have even been at a protest. Fighting with the federal government removing illegals in our country. He was there. Had a gun. I don’t give a damn if he had a conceal. He screwed up and wanted to show his arse like that girl. Leave them alone and let them do their job.

Yep and unless it my family, loved ones, or myself involved in tense situations with law enforcement, I will stay away from such situations if I am bearing arms.

Those guys do not play games and it is why they stay alive in almost all tense environments.

Absolutely should be investigated.

Maybe some of these dumbasses will then realize their agitation has deadly consequences all to protect thieving politicians

He wasn’t killed because he had a gun. What killed him was fighting and resisting LEO. That is stupid and suicidal. Don’t do it

Shocking that now we’re in favor of restrictions on the 2A.

That's why I joined Gun Owners of America

They also called for "a complete, transparent, and prompt investigation" and added that "Federal agents are not highly likely to be legally justified in shooting concealed carry licensees who approach while lawfully carrying a firearm. The Second Amendment protects Americans' right to bear arms while protesting—a right the federal government must not infringe upon."

Any death by law enforcement should be fully investigated. Standard procedure.

I am not, but until SCOTUS says all restrictions on concealed carry are unconstitutional, I am constrained to the requirements of my CHP issuing state.

Regardless, even with no restrictions, when he decided to interfere in/obstruct an active ICE operation and when he then resisted arrest for said interference/obstruction, he did so with a concealed weapon, which was epically stupid and invited the outcome that occurred.

Do you think whether or not he had his DL on him has any bearing whatsoever on the analysis of what happened yesterday?

I am solely addressing the "legal gun owner" "legally carrying" narrative.

Him scrubbing his social media and leaving his ID before heading out that morning with a full stack and a spare is much more important.

Couldn't care less about the NRA. They are mostly quiet and get involved in this.

With that said, has it been said that a full investigation wouldn't be done? If not, then no reason to stick your nose in it, yet.

I do not like the idea of law enforcement shooting someone just because they have a gun on them. If there is an incident and my shirt comes up and they just shoot because they see my gun, that's not right.

SPOT FKING on. Training is clearly lacking, and they wonder why some of them come under intense scrutiny?
