sort of like when the 206 Democrats voted against H.R.28 - Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2025?
a pretty basic bill that mandated that in women’s and girls’ sports at federally funded educational institutes the females must be females by their biological sex assigned at birth.

It was a poison pill bill, and it accomplished the goal for the people that proposed it.
It was never meant to be meaningful legislation. It was drafted to try and put pressure on a handful of Democrats in purple districts so that the GOP campaign apparatus can advertise against anyone voting against it.
It was never going to be law, and no one involved with it cared one way or the other. Just cynical politics.

Because we wouldn't let Saskatchewan with 1M people be a state. A better plan would just extend the northern states boarders 100 miles north and you would have all the people. Everywhere else would be a territory.
